171 or 178 Line Invaders 08' (Help)

Hey guys, I was just wondering what size would be better for me with the Invaders... I'm like 5' 7" and I weigh about 140lbs. I've been snowboarding park for several years and now I want to take up skiing and like the last time I skied was when I was 8 or 9 years old. So I was thinking about getting 178s but would they be too big for me and would I lose any flex because it's a longer ski? And plus I'm planning on skiing all park but sometimes outside the park onto like normal trails. So 171s or 178s I gotta know.

I'm like 5'8" or maybe more, I have no idea, and I ski 171. also like 125/130 lbs or something in that range.

Remember they will be centremounted as they are a symmetrical ski, so they will ski a bit shorter than normal.

Irrespective, at your height/weight i'd go 171 like the others said

178 for sure.

i ride the 178 and its wonderful.

gives you a bigger butter zone.

plus i'm like 5'6 and 160 pounds and its a great ski.

i was wondering the same thing, i am 5'8'' and 160 lbs. i ride 179 blends, but they are a bit too heavy for park skiing, so i was wondering what size invaders to get, i was thinking 171, but now i am thinking 178, help me!

178 i say softer the ski longer in size

178, they dont feel like big skis at all (soft, centered so small tips )

7 = humungous difference in a park ski.

get the 178 ski, center mount it, it'll be more forgiving for landing, short skis are hurtin

put a 171 over top of a 178 and you will see how small teh difference is. its not that big.
