1620....I hope I never see this win a comp

yeah, it works. when i posted that i hadnt seen the second post yet... my post was only like 10 seconds after yours

Thats the 2nd video of a 1620 iv seen posted, i really hope people stop doing tryin it cuz i dont wana see a third, course its fuckin hard as hell to pull off but still, thats just getting ridiculous for spin to win

yah he posted that video on here a long time ago

i give him props for doing that......even though it didnt look that awesome.......most people still wouldnt have the balls to do that

Hating on no poles is like getting head from a guy. It feels good until

you look down and realize that you are a played out cliche user

j-ea

seen this video like three times. still a cork 1620 tho. i think the fact that its corked and not just a normal one makes it a lot more legit.

well that is really small if it is on a 100ft plus jump and a high mute grab is involved then it is fine with me, but if it is all pencelish like that no way should it win a comp.

as long as it is not the only thing in our sport i also think they are coo cause they are way harder than they seems.

its being posted before.

and ehh, its impressive and all, but i hope thats not the direction skiing will end up taking

cereally...biggest gay fag fudging homo ever!

actually it was pretty gnarly. props on that.  maybe try and grab though.

cuz there was 0 steeze in that and guys shouldnt be gettin baller status at comps and local mountains for throwin pencil'd out shitty lookin spins...

style>spin

how come people sit here and bitch about spin to win, but i dont see anyone doing anything about it

if pep and pollard were here bitching i would understand because they prove they are against it by going to the x games and not throwing anything over a 5

but all of you that bitch about it i bet would throw a 1440 or 1260 if you could do them and you know you could win a comp and get some sponsers by doing them,

i give this kid props, let him do his thing

stop bitching about how ugly it is and go do your owe thing

if you think a double grab looks sicker, sweet deal

but don't bitch about some kid with skills that you don't have

Description: SPX clothing's Team rider Andrew Taylor

spins and lands a 1620 in competition! There have been only a handful

of people to ever land a 1620 in competition in the entire world. Check

it!

"Andrew T" Is not only super skilled as a freeride skier, on

the hill, but also cares deeply about what is going on around the world

and is an advocate of political and social issues facing our planet.

Big Props!

did anyone else find this funny?

yeah, this is what a comp is about. of course its spin to win. if you don't like that, then don't enter the comp.

Looked the same as someone doing a fucking sw 12. I think style stoped around 9s, so why not go bigger and do more spins?

And that guy in my book is alot more "baller" then 90% of the kids on this site. To have the balls to try and spin that much and have to deal with bull shit from little kids like you.

skiing has to get away from all the spin to win, its getting to crazy, but the only thing, is there anything else to do? is that why arials is the way it is?

If anyone on here is older than 16, they should remember JF Cusson winning the first ever X-Games skier big air with a switch 720 that was WAY more hucked, penciled, not grabbed, and unstylish as that 1620 was.

And now, switch 7s are being done with unbelievable style.

Someone has to try pushing limits and doing new tricks, and the first ones are rarely very stylish, but if nobody sacked up and went for the first one, then how could anyone eventually figure out how to do it with style?

Watching JF huck that switch 7, way back then, it would have been easy to say "that trick is way to hard, and it won't ever be able to be done with style". If everyone had bought into that, then where would the sport be now?

Maybe one day Andrew will throw that trick over a 120 foot table, floating it with an epic grab, but everything has to start somewhere.

What are you a fucking scientist? No shit it's not going to be "steezy." He spun a 1620 dude, get with it...
