142 too small for gf?

so i just got some skis in the mail that i bought for my gf. the guy told me they were 153's, but they got here today and they are 142's. my gf is about 5'3'' and weighs about 120 lbs, and they're the mini mike nicks from a few years ago (the blue ones with the monk type figure on the tails). she's not a bad ass skier or anything, just looking for a setup that will work for 4-5 runs a day. i think 142 is too short, but maybe some of you can change my mind since i don't really want to go through the hassle of sending back a pair of skis that only cost me $100

i'm aware of that but 142's are freakin really short. they come up to my nipple

yea 142 is boaderline skiboards. Dont they make 110 ski boards? And normally I defend short skis

^ i agree, i'm 5'5', about 120 ish lbs, and i ride 159's. it's worth the time now to get it right, than going through the hassle of getting them mounted, and everything, to findout they're not going to work

I'm her height, weigh a little less, and that ski is TOO short! Get something 150-155 if she's new to skiing, or something 155-160ish if she's a moderate skier. (155 would be a safe bet cause it's in the middle). 142...just too short to be comfortable on.
