i know that a lot of you dont like the Next Snow program thing and like to dis on it a lot and the kids that participate in it but here is something you might like to hear:

13-year-old Christopher Laker from Perfect North Slopes, IN landed a tail 1260 to win the big air event last weekend in Killington, VT.. these kids really are the future, some of them are stepping it up more than some of the pros already.. props to chris..

oh and i did a search so if this has already been posted/talked about than my mistake and i apologize

i mean yea, thats cool, and i certainly cannot do it..but i dont think spinning is the true measurement of a good skier...i would have so much respect for a kid who charges hard at crazy steep lines and stuff like that. but still, props to the kid

i hate when people try to compare themselves to 13 your olds now to when they were thirteen or even now. its a different generation.

That's great, but most people dont care, Me being one of them. WHo cares how fast this kid can spin, can he rip a sweet pow tree line? park is overrated.

to express my opinion that how well you ski in trees, powder and challenging terrain is much more important/impressive than what you can achieve inside the park.

I'm gonna be honest to say when i was that age, the park is something i didnt even know about, and i wore a teal colored 1 piece, and skied with parents who refused to buy me my own gear since i'd 'grow out of it in a year,' regardless of the fact i had skied my whole life. although we were tight on money back in the day, it still shows how much has changed

kids from indiana dont get much of a chance to do that.. its obvious that he progressed in the areas he could..

Perfect north is a good place to ski.. ive been there and i liked it, its a lot like tyrol basin here in wisconsin

im 13 and i can do a 5 but i dont spend all the time in the park like this kid probably does, i like to actually ski more than i like park

what im mostly surprised about is the fact the guy hasnt come on here and created a thread to see whether or not he was the first 13 year old to throw a 12. creating threads to claim large spins seems to be all the rage these days
