Ok so this is completely random and kinda has to do with the movie but more Oakley in general. What is the significance of the # its on my suit from last year and the movie?
 
i dont know if its true or not, but i remember hearing from sombody that its cause the video had 12 different skiers, and was 42 minutes long. but i dont know if thats true
 
yea but its on their storm one piece suit for this year why would they put that on a suit 3 years later.
 
Because it was an epic movie and it gets attention (see, you made a thread about this). Plus, twelve forty two sounds cool.
 
I love that movie, I actually just watched it yesterday! I think it's cause of the 12 riders & 42min long. I love Boyd Easley's segment! that man just has the Ultimate laid back style!
 
anyone ever notice they always look at the clock when it reads 12:42? usualy happens to me once a day of not twice
 
I remember hearing that it's the number of patents Oakley has or something. Prolly just myth, but I was convinced. And I watched that movie today, and Pep STILL has one of the best seggies ever.
 
its one of my favs but my vcr ate it up so i haven't been able to watch it lately

i dont think its the 12 rider 42 minutes thing. if you go to the commericials and shit on oakleys page theres one from a while ago called 1242
 
I'm pretty sure the original name of it was supposed to be 24/7-this is our life(It was the name on it with the volume 9 or something vid). So I think it pertains to how many hours per season or something like that.
 
oakley still has 1242 around. I saw a couple banners that said 1242 around the oakley launch pool at wakestock
 
bingo. oakley has used the name for other video related stuff they've done, such as the community project.
