remember the ones who lost their lives, that sad, sad day in the Atocha train station in Madrid. Terrorism struck home to me that day, as i was going to go there the next week with a class. Commuters, all innocent, got blown away by bombs planted by evil, evil people. 9/11 never really hit home to me. although american, it was ober there, across the atlantic, 14 hours away by plane. Not Madrid. no madrid was next door.

Remember those who lost their lives there.

I'm from Spain, I was away from home when it happened, but I cried, fuck yes, I cried because you know what? I felt the pain, I felt the tears of MY PEOPLE. Fucking bastards, that's what you are- There's been a lot of remembering on the tv. And the bells of the churches were pounding through Madrid. 3/11 will never been forgotten.

And yeah, i can't believe it's already been a year...

both terrible tragedies that we should never forget. WTC was 20 miles from my house and my dad used to work there till 2 years before the attacks and many friends died. We should always be alert for things like this because I hope now we realize we are not safe
