11th hour, best ski movie this year

hmmm...effort yes, whcih i put a lot into, and didnt get any backcoutnry shots...because of weather mostly, hiking up brighton and snowbird, and then having the weather close in when u get to the prospective jump, sucks a nut!
 
well i'm the only one saying anything negative about it so don't take it too personally :-) just my opinion and knowing a couple of the riders, i don't want to rip on them. i've only seen it once, first impression. maybe i'll watch it again.
 
yeah cause j-lo has to spend the money on his sombreros instead of venturing into the bc, might just be too much work for a young chap...pussy
 
maybe they cant do that...some of use cant just hop on planes wherever we want. They live in a sick place with many resorts...would you leave? fuck no. i cant wait to see this movie. Just watching max in person was crazy

if i wanted to make a movie like this i could, hell, anyone with a camera and a crew could do it. pick some sunny days, fuck around in the park and hike the back country a few days when you feel like it. o yea, maybe a spring break trip to mammoth.

Go ahead and edit the pants off me. I'm curious to see if you'll back up all your shit talking. His videos are a different style. They showcase top notch tech. progression. Not flash. If you're bored with the scenery try watching the skiing, that's the point of the video.
 
o this is so fucking lame. every single other person on this sight has said what a sick movie this is. i disagree and everyone flips a shit. .i watched it, wasn't impressed and that's all i have to say. i don't have to prove myself to anyone, i can say what i think about a movie without having to prove that i could make one better, who gives a fuck? i didn't like it, i want to see something progressive, not park footage.

and i know for a fact that is it possible to make a better movie than that on no budget because i've seen it done. you don't need a ton of money, you need motivation, a car, and a shovel.

i don't know the effort it takes? believe me i do. i know that a certain company made an incredible movie this year with only a car, a shovel, and a camera, and that another certain company made a lame ass, despite having the same necessities available. i really wish you understood what you were saying instead of just coming up with cute names for me like dingleberry, and being upset over one persons honest opinion on a small companies movie. o yea, Loser was a nice touch also.

Like I said, you are perfectly entitled to your opinion but you crossed the line by disrespecting his efforts. All you had to say was something tactful. "I'd would have preferred to see more BC etc." instead you insulted his efforts and claimed anyone could do better. That's what I think is fucked up. It's ironic that you list art as a hobby yet you disrespect the work that another puts out.

look everybody is entitled to their opinion. if you like the movie fine. if you dont fine. i really don't give a shit. and before you start saying this and that about effort, let me just say talk shit on the movie, fine. but you have no right to talk shit on me. you don't know me, or know anything about me, and if you think you know about me and off trail from what your friends at the OTHER film company told you, well you don't know shit.

so back the fuck off of me and keep it to the movie. great you didn't like the locations, whatever. and when you want to tell me the secret to making a film, alone, with absolutly no help, i would appriciate it. untill then lets end the shit talking untill you make your movie, or you want to divulge in telling us who these other film companies are you speak of.

untill then i will wait and see what everybody else thinks and then grow from that and make better movies in the future.
 
ok, since everyone is SO fired up about my comments, i apologize. in no way were they directed toward justin or any of his crew. i may have worded my initial response wrong and for that, i'm sorry. i won't say anymore about the film since i think everyone knows how i feel. justin you're right, i don't know you, and i didn't mean to attack you, i would have on reason to. it doesn't matter who made this film, it just wasn't my thing. you obviously did something right since most everyone else on here absolutely loves it. so in that respect, good job. i am entitled to my own opinion, however, which no one seems to quite grasp, and if you don't agree, you are entitled to ignore me.

either way, i do apologize if it sounded like i was attacking justin or any of the skiers. i was not. i was merely giving my first response after seeing the film. i'm done.
 
j-lo is THE one man film crew, the one man production team, etc. i know nobody else who holds things down as well as this individual.

their movies *offtrail productions* are about having a good time and skiing, i dont think they care about good grammer and misspelled words, they want kids to dig there skiing, not to win an award.... I don't see why folks on the internet think it's so utterly important to have such amazing grammer, if its legable *sp* why bother bitching at them about it *not talking about what you said about the DVD cover, just a thought that came to mind.*
 
ok, and back to this,.... all i've got to say is that i know the little budget your so called OTHER film company had, so now you really can't talk shit. they actualy HAVE a fucking budget. i can't even imagine the movie that could be made by the Off Trail crew with THEIR (oh i want to say who it is so bad) fucking budget.
 
Exactly. If I'm correct, the film company skiller1080 is referring to has A LOT of dough to throw to big mountain filming.

all i know is that there is one tall kid and one short kid in this movie and i think they are heterosexual life partners. Justin is very good at editing and he pretty much works with and endless amount of talent, so this would bring me to conclude this movie will be off the Chain.
 
i saw it the other day and all i can say is after watching it, i wanted to skiing. which in my opinion makes a good video granted the editing and footage wasn't the best but still i liked it.
