She shot the bear in the heart? Smart. She has the chance to have a badass bear heart, but she shoots it.
 
Ya prolly more in the 140-160 range if i had to guess. My bear yielded 240 lbs of meat and he weighed 530 lbs
 
You can't write this stuff.

As a rough concept, the idea of a dying 11 year old wishing to get out there and kill a bear that her parents can stuff and remember her by, is great dark comedy material. It's freaking hilarious.

But as reality, it's just really strange.
 
shows that she doesn't have a grasp on what death means despite her condition. judging by her parents, they probably assured her that the bear was going to bear heaven.
 
Anyone else notice the mom's teeth? The girl may have shot a bear at range, but it looks like the mom got into some fisticuffs with one!

Its only impressive if she was killed in a fight.

Mine wasn't too bad. A little stringier and greasier than beef.

The majority of mine was made into either jerky or put into stews. Bear meat isn't something that you can just eat like a steak. That would result in a very tough, dry, hunk of beef. Its just too lean, even being a fall bear that i shot, the meat was still lean. but 30% of my bears weight was in just fat alone. He had around 5 inches of belly fat and abour 1.5-2 inches of fat everywhere else.

Its really not that bad but its definitely not elk or deer.
 
Fun fact that most retards at my school cant grasp: Not all black bears are black btw. Some bitch was arguing with me that MY bear wasn't a black bear because it is light brown colored. And therefore it is a Brown bear! No amount of explanation would convince her otherwise...

Meanwhile, in other news, girl with suspected bear heart catches fish with teeth and grows to be 9 feet tall when standing on hind legs. #fuckanorgandonor

I can understand the awesome feeling you get from calling an 11 year old girl names behind her back though. Well done sir.

I don't see why people hate on hunting so much. It used to be a respected past time.

Good for this girl, some folks hunt a lifetime and never take an animal that large. It's nice to see youth interested in something besides a computer screen or xbox these days.
 
i wont defend the animals as being things that really matter, but in an argument against hunting i would say that i like the idea that a big badass bear can live out in the wild and a little girl with a gun will let it be.its cooler if the bear is still alive imo
