1080's okay?

I bought a pair of 04 teneighties last spring. Im 6'2' they are 171's and im not sure if their long enough. what do ya think?

 
I'm 5'11 and I have Rossignol Scratch BC's 182 and I think they are perfect... If I was you I would get something longer...

depends on what you do! pipe: almost ok! overall: too short! especially with 1080 that are pretty soft!

get a longer ski, it will help. and dont buy salomons. replace 1080s with a real ski.

never skied armadas. but ask yourself if you want your skis for a long time or not: salomon are so much fun but no wood core, so do not last long. if want long life, choose woodcore.

171's...kinda short. go for higher 170's or low 180's. Although, I am guilty as well cause I am 6'3 and have a pair of 172cm mad trix's... but I also have 181's, and a pair of 185 ARV's. My 172's are rock skis/ rail skis...not give two shits about skis.

if you are riding moguls tey are perfect, but if your just riding standard park, they suck. if you came into my store and said that you wanted to ride park, i would proaly give you the new ar5s in 180 or the thalls in 176, otherwise i might recomend the new seth pistol, all the folks that work where i do love them for everything. also you might want to look into something from line, they have a very wide selection.

 
i am 5'11'' and i ride a 176 i like it i also weigh 115 so im a light weight too

i think wieght is more important than hieght. But anyways... I am 5'10 and wiegh 165. i ski 181 1080s i think they are a fine length for the park, but they still dont hold to well on ice. It just comes down to wat u prefer.

Thanks for the info. I think im gonna get the Amrmada AR5's 176 or the 4frnt stl 177 cause i like my skis a little short. Keep postin your ideas though i appreciate it...

 
I think you got the point by now but I'm typing so....yeah your skis are definitely too short. I'm 5'10 and a half and 177 are perfect for me. Unless you're a scrawny bitch with no balls, you should have no problem tearing shit up with 185's. Hope your season kicks ass.

im definitley sellin them if anyone wants to buy em they are brand new. with salomon s912 ti bindings id sell for around $400 or $450. not bad considering that setup would be just under 1k for 05's. and there no difference between 04 teneighties and 05 teneighties contact if ur interested.....

the ski doesnt know how tall you are. weight is what its about. im only 150. but yeah it to me is ALL on where you live/ what you ride. i have like a 500 verticle and ride park.

i got in a car crash,got shot at,and attacked by a fucking bobcat. cross country is boring.
