I shoot with a Canon 7d and 60d. I can either shoot at 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps.Is quality better than slow motion? Or is 720p good enough quality?

Don't tell me to get a GH3 or anything better.

I would say choose what your going to be exporting with; and how necessary the slow-mo is. If your going to be putting it on the web, and exporting it into 720 anyway for a smaller file size, might as well shoot in 720 and be able to shoot more on that card too. Also if the slow motion is really helping your project thats another factor. However, if the extra resolution is worth it to your project, you gotta make the decision, whats worth it to you, and will you be using the gain

A lot of people use 720/60p for skiing. Because the quality difference when exporting to the internet is slight and the slow mo capabilities will increase the production value. just make sure to keep a high shutter speed.

it really comes down to if you have any desire to use slowmo. the difference between 720 and 1080 is unnoticeable for most people

Awesome video man! Looks very nice. Could you give me some info on your video settings for your DSLR? (ND filter, aperture, shutterspeed?) Thanks man I would really appreciate that! Good Luck shooting some more of these video's!
