The difference between the Pocket Rocket and the Gun is the filling material: PR used a PU foam and the Gun is using PMI (polymethacrylimide hard foam).

The flex characteristics of the ski have been kept the same but hopefully the new material will prove to be more durable and not lose its snap as quickly. I mean, hell, they make helicopter blades with this stuff!

 
I just got the Gun, and they seem like a perfect BC and all mtn ski for me. Any constructive thoughts?

yea man i used to hate salomon just cause of waht everyone said. then i saw what they were doing for freeskiing but i still didnt want the skis. but when the foils came out i got some of them and they are sick! stop hating and try out the new line and youll be happy!
