I'm skiing the scratch fs and im looking for a ski thats better for all mountain and pow. Im 5 10 and 150lb so id be lookin at about a 179. I ski about 75% BC/pow and 25% park.
i bought foils, but for your percentages I would recommend the pistols, they'll be way better in pow and bc. I'm interested to see how my foils handle pow, i have the 182's, so they're descently wide, but I think the sidecut is going to make them hook like mad. Fortunately they won't be seeing anything past 6 inches
yea like some one said before me the foils and pistols arent even in the same category, but if your doing 3/4 in the bc then deff go for the pistols cause thats what it was made for, you also might want to check out the rossi bc, bc a little softer might be a little better for you since your a little lighter, but it all depends on how hard you rip. hope that was some help for you
I am of course going to respond pistols as well, because they're just my kind of ski, and happen to be fucking awesome on everything but ice... but the foils this year are a big step up in the salomon quality department, and this is coming from someone who was pretty skeptical last spring. They really are a quality ski.
