1080 error skis

Tell me what you think... my friend Rob got the new 1080s, and when he went to pick them up at our local shop, they had arrived with the graphics facing the same direction! Colin, the ski shop guy, phoned Salomon, and they said that they were incredibly rare. Colin already mounted them, thinking that Rob would be stoked about getting possibly the only skis around like that. Here's the part that I don't really understand- Rob told Colin to send them back and get regular ones. If that happened to me, I'd keep them for sure. But he wanted them to look normal, so as long as he's happy it's allright. has anyone heard of that before?

the retard who mounted them prolly did not know that they are sapposed to be facing differant directions and mounted them incorrectly.

You are all idiots, don't you understand that he has just 2 of the same skiis, instead of having one lef and a right, he has two left that have the same topsheet, it's not an error I know 2 ppl like that they just switched their skis with other pairs in the shop

 
the 'retard' who mounted them owns his own ski shop- he knows which way is the front of the ski. They were ordered right from Salomon, so if anyone's an idiot, it's them for sending two of the same skis, not the ski store owner, or me for posting this. chill

I cant believe the people that think the new 1080's are symetrical. I have the 171's by the way. The way i can tell on mine is that the tails of the skis have this little indentation at the tip, marking the back. The backs arent as curved as the fronts too. Left and right is a bit trickier, but the way i always remember is that the left has the small robot in orange near the front. Unless you get really specialized bindings and are a perfectionist, it doest really matter.

I doubt that Salomon screwed up like that tho.

While we're on the subject anyone know where I can get a new transmission? My 1080's wont back up on the damn mountain.

Candide was riding the new 1080s and they were the same ski both the left and rite were the same and when i asked him he sayd they were a prototype for him to try out...

so i think you're all wrong and does it really matter?

Check the serial numbers on the skis, if its the same, then its a fuck up, if theyre different, then its just two different skis...
