1080 boot rip

On the 1080 boots has anyone ripped the plastic a couple inches, right above the 2nd buckle, across the top of the foot? Thanks.

Mine spontaneously combusted when i did a D-spin 1440. I guess I spun too fast, do you think warrenty will cover it?

hahaha thats pretty good (damn a 1440), no im serious its wierd. Like I have never seen a boot just start to rip across the top of the foot. I duno its only on the one too. I might send em back cause it is definatley manufactur defect.

 
ya i got some 1080 boots this year and when i got my bindings adjusted to them the guy at the shop said to always leave your buckles buckled when you are not skiing, because the plastic can crack if you dont.

 
I buckle mine after everyday and leave em buckled till I go out again. I keep em indoors so they are warm ... so I really dont know why they did this. Did yours tear?
