102 woodsman for park

Never been on the Woodsman, but I have a pair of the Kartel 98s which aren't far off the current Jeff 102 and they rip everywhere, I would lean more towards the Jeffrey line for something more park suited but you honestly can't go wrong with anything ON3P.

Jeff in a Smaller size than the 108 or the 108 if you want pure all mountain supremacy. I've slid a ton of metal on my Kartels and skied tons of pow/chunder and are way better for that. I've had two pairs of Woodies (116s and now 108s w/ kingpins) and I'd say they're for sure more of a jibby freeride ski than anything. You can pop switch for switch-hits and butters rather easily but the sidecut and shape doesn't play well for park riding imo. An absolute machine of a ski though. Both are mounted at the factory-reccomended point which is like -1.5 to -2cm back? Cant remember

Never skied woodsman’s but I have wren 108s in 189 and they’re mounted a bit forward at 5.5 and they ski switch decently given it’s mostly a directional ski.
The woodsman I bet would do decent in the park mounted a bit forward but only for the occasional lap or two. If you wanna actually lap the park on them somewhat regularly I’d go Jeffery’s, but the woodsman would totally ski decently in the park every so often.

I’m about the same size as you, rocking the 192 Woodsman 102 for the past two seasons now. They kill it absolutely everywhere. I ski park regularly on them. But it’s much more of an all mountain weapon than park.
I have them mounted at recommended, and haven’t really come into too many issues with rails or jumps. They’re my daily driver, probably looking at about 70% all mountain, and 30% park. They hold up in the steep and deep as well, especially for a 102 waisted ski.
while I love them for everything, I can only wonder how my park skiing would be if I had a shorter, more centred ski for those days where I’m more in the park. With that being said, I’m looking into a Mango 100 at the 186 to fill my the spot in my quiver for the spring days when the park is popping off.

bottom line: yes, if you’re looking for a good all mountain everything, from the steeps to park, can’t go wrong.
I know the woodsman 102 will stay in my quiver for years to come.

I ride the woodsman 96 in the park all the time, but the mount point is farther forward than the current woodsmans and I mounted them 2.5 ahead of recommended, so that for sure makes a difference. I also learned to ski park on directional skis so it’s not as weird to me.
they are totally good to go on jumps, 0 complaints there. I don’t spin a lot in general, but getting 2s off rails is definitely noticeably harder than on a pair of symmetrical skis. Doing quick swaps would be difficult if I did that type of stuff.
if you are mostly hitting jumps and doing slow spins with a few rails here and there, I would say go for it. Directional skis in the park isn’t nearly as bad as some people think it is. But if you’re really trying to learn new tricks and spin a lot, I would go with something else
the all mtn performance is incredible though, mine absolutely charge through anything, and float great even though they’re only 96 underfoot

I’m gonna be on some 191 Jeff’s this season and I’m 6’4. Super excited, one of the customer service dude told me all ab them and how they are pretty stable underfoot but still snap and pop.
