1000skis

Why aren’t they popular? They seem like amazing skis. They’re supposed to be buttery, playful, and well-built, plus they look pretty good. But I don’t see anyone skiing them (besides sponsored skiers), I don’t see anyone talking about them, and they just really aren’t that popular. Why?

I kinda want to try them, only thing holding me from buying them is the price.

I saw few pairs of them at Riksgränsen and they looked fun.

Expensive, not to mention they’re not too big of a brand. Plus last year they only made the park model up to a 178 so tall people wouldn’t touch them

The price and all-red graphics are the real reasons why I won't cop a pair. But the skis do look really fun IMO and I'd like to support the brand and their values... I agree with others who say that the marketing hasn't been good. It's pretty cringe.

Theyre expensive, and too new to have any real swing in the game rn.. but everyone i've talked to that was riding them (3 pp tops) really enjoyed them

Love mine. Def expensive but I was happy to pay the cost knowing it’s owned by the homies. I have had no issues with durability. Used the pow model most of the season. Planning to buy the all mountain to add to my quiver next season.

Yeah the people ive seen riding them really like them but like at the end of they day the graphic is kinda shi the price is insane and its like you can get the same skis with cool graphics for like way less so if they figure out their pricing and graphics maybe but for rn no one is copping them shits

I'm sure part of the reason they cost so much is they aren't producing as many pairs of skis as other brands, since they know they can't sell a massive amount of the skis. When production is scaled up, the cost per unit drops so once you have the customer base to sell more skis, the price can go down a bit too. I wouldn't be surprised if 1000 is selling close to every pair they make, which is all they need to do.

There are also many more expensive skis on the market, so they may not seem too bad to a lot of customers.

We here on NS are so deep in our tiny niche of skiing that our perspective is incredibly warped on what the ski market is actually like.
