100 Reason Why Climate Change is Natural

So lets just say that humans are not causing "artificial" global warming... Whats the hurt in pushing for greener restrictions? All it is doing is making our natural habitat less polluted, and switching our dependence on foreign energy reserves(very near depletion) to domestic renewable energy. We will have to switch to renewable energy at some point, because there is a limit to the amount of oil, especially with india and china becoming richer. THe jobs that are lost because of the switch will be lost eventually anyways. If we switch now, America could be at the forefront of a movement, and the leaders in cutting edge technology that we could contract out to other countries that didn't make the switch.

At the expense of bankrupting the middle class with oppressive taxes? Or destroying our economy with crap and trade? Or surrendering our sovereignty as AMERICANS to play by some bullshit IPCC standards that weren't brought to an election in our country? no thanks. And the fact that less people are believing the shit now.

you all talk shit about the patriot act and illegal wiretapping because in your eyes, the cause didn't justify the actions. That shit didn't effect any of us, but you are willing to let the government tell you how much energy you can use, what cars you can drive, what lightbulbs you can use, and how much you can heat/cool your homes all over some bullshit science?

Bangladesh? even if global warming did exist and was caused by humans, there is no way in hell we could reverse it in just a few years. And even if we did, the destruction to the economy caused in the process would cost a shitload more than relocating people in places that are being flooded.

you literally addressed zero points.

Answer this:

how will Building wind farms, solar power plants, oceanic based powerplants, not to mention all the research and funding for the technology, hurt the economy?

Do you think that by joining NATO and the UN we surrendered our sovereignty?

Do you realize how much potential there is for growth in the renewable energy sector?

Once the oil "dries" up what is your plan? btw estimates are another 100 years at current consumption, but probly around 40-50 with the way china and china are developing

Finally, the government isn't telling what to do they are just charging you more for the luxury of having and doing things that cause more pollution than cleaner more practical thing/activities.

Well I'll have to give it a try... sometimes two goods can make a bad, like Jim Gaffigan's take on fruit cake, Fruit - Good

Cake - Great

Fruitcake - Nasty crap.

Apples=Pretty good

Pie=Delicious

Apple Pie=I need to put on a new shirt because I started salivating at the thought of it

Fruit cake is nasty as poop though

No hard feelings. My "intonation of peoples voices" meter is off this week. Hurray for finals that I should be studying for!

please stop talking out of your ass.

How on Earth (hehe) would investing in sustainable development bankrupt the middle class? Sustainable development has NOTHING to do with taxing CO2 emissions or cap and trade. It has everything to do with promoting clean, renewable energy which saves money in the long run and creates an entire new industry of jobs. think of it as investing in a safe stock. there's a big upfront initial investment that pays off in the long run.

whether anthropogenic global warming exists or not is irrelevant, we need to invest in a sustainable infrastructure. we don't live on a planet of infinite resources yet we are a population of exponential growth and consume more and more every day...

ha, of course the moron with the texas flag chimes in with the witty liberal bashing comment

two can play that game.

Ha, of course the creepy person with the dancing banana icon chimes in with the witty conservative basing of the liberal bashing of the fox news bashing comment.

Wait, what?

care to tell me what else it is?

no one ever denied it was natural. they just said we're speeding it up. aside from that, there's 7 nobel prize winners who would be ready to refute your #1.

Shut up! Your comment has nothing to do with the current conversation and everything to do with the OP. We are no longer discussing the OP.

Dude he did answer your question you just dont get it.

By building "wind farms, solar power plants" etc who do you think is going to pay for that???????? the government, which means me and you.

hey, if all this happens in the free market then lets do it. But dont make us pay for it or your boss who is paying your wages.

hahah obama said something about not taxing the middle class, but that was bullshit because the middle class tax rate rose. It was another pres.

How can you speed up something if you don't have an effect on it? It's either one or the other.

Also, I'll see your 7 Nobel Prize winners and raise you 72 Nobel Prize winners (please see #19 on the list).

you can remove two from her list, Al Gore, for being a fat, bloated, hypocritcal, massive carbon footprint, and Obama, for...uh, i dont even know, only 20 something% of his own people felt he should have received the nobel peace prize. STOOGE, who the hell runs the Nobel shit these days, they are just giving them away.

haha i like this kid.
(no offense)
(and btw theres nothing wrong with believing what you want, but this is a really stupid thing to argue about, especially on ns. and when you think about it, theres no point. even if global warming is fake (its not), reducing carbon emissions cant be a BAD thing, right?)
(also btw: lol)

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA holy crap, good one. I meant americans in general. I am losing my shit right now, so damn funny. Never pictured it like that. just goes to show you how racist you libs are, always thinkin in terms of a separated society. I don't give a shit about color or race, thats why I refer to everyone as americans, despite what their skin color may be. shouldn't be any other way...also, we need to get rid of these hyphenated names, they are soooo destructive to the american way. African-American....what bullshit, they are americans.

it's George Bush Senior. Do you think I'm stupid or something? Now go read my post because I know you didn't. I never said anything about more taxes. If anything, what I'm proposing saves money, especially in the long run.

NICE! you got it, banana. In response to your post, I'm not against energy efficiency and alternative sources, I'm just against the government forcing that shit. If it's left up to the free market, when money comes from investors who are willing to take a substantial risk with their money, then Im ALL for it. But, when it's the government treating us like an ATM, I'm not for it, especially when that bullshit is mandated by an extralegal and extrasovereign body like the UN. If Obama signs that Copenhagen shit without consulting his own people (AMERICANS haha) I'm confident there will be a public outcry. That is taxation without representation if I have ever seen it.

anthropogenic global warming is happening right now, and there is pretty much a consensus on this in the scientific community.
if you disagree find me a peer reviewed scientific article that says otherwise

have you been under a rock? It's been proven that high ranking scientists have been suppressing contradictory research by making sure contrary articles don't get published. Refer to the climategate emails. Also, it's hard to find research you wouldn't give a fuck about anyway, there's no reason for these asshats to look for an opposing opinion, they wouldn't give it any credit. Peer reviewing is useless when everyone thinks the same, it's probably just a bunch of guys sitting in a room giving eachother handjahbs(Rushmore) and congratulating eachother on agreeing with everything the other says.

why is everyone scared of global warming? no more polar ice caps? ???? maybe a shift in world wide climate.... to what.. warmer weather? no more snow?
the ocean levels will only rise approximately ~ 200ft
SORRY WATERWORLD ISN'T GOING TO COME TRUE GUYS LLOLOLZ
and guess what... humans will do what they have always done... adapt... and its not like the polar icecaps or any other ice in the ocean is going to melt over night... the process will take thousands of years and as water levels rise and and coast lines disappear people will move.
