Wait, does that mean that we all have to start laying down original tracks for our edits. I guess I know 3 power chords so I can probably pull it off.

Great edit and track is perfect for it. Props on taking it to a new level.

dope song, dope edit, good thing i got that song when it came out...

is it me, or is 0:08 a legit nollie lip 270 on to switch out? i watched it like 20 times

seriously one of the sickest rail tricks ever

no offense but not even close to "original noise" layering samples does not make original music... just ask girltalk ztrip or anyone else who gets paid to trigger samples

I get harassed about these things too: nothing is original unless you wrote and played every note

I cant even take credit for the rhythms I build because I use a drum machine and a keyboard

*** sick edit though***

Are you sure those were samples? I think the point of it was that it was completely played by the people who made it. Hathbanger usually just does sampled stuff, but I assumed this was completely original.
Not sure how a keyboard and drum machine make your rhythms unoriginal - a drum machine is just a tool to let you express yourself musically. You may not have to play drums to use it, but you're still creating it. Or are you saying that even individual sampled drum sounds triggered by pressing a button make it unoriginal? That would invalidate a whole lot of music.
Anyways, sick edit, sick track. Keep it up, I look forward to seeing more.

You choosing a drum sample you like is not original. It requires zero skill. You using the keyboard to create a melody however is original if the ideas are your own. Technology has ruined what we know as original music. People think AKON is talented, when he talks into a mic that is filtered and auto-tuned.
This edit however, is dope and the song is dope too!

every single part of the track was original. all except for maybe a sample or two for the drums. like a snare or a kick. the womp's were made from scratch using either fm or subtractive synthesis in massive, analog, sub boom bass, and operator. it was then sequenced in ableton. then it was mastered by my buddy nick lucini.

Fair enough, I can see where you guys are coming from for sure. I still think that drum machines and sequencers are an awesome way for people who don't have access to the equipment/skill/knowledge needed to play percussion to get a decent sounding beat. Definitely no replacement for a percussionist though, there's things nobody will ever be able to do digitally.
Thanks for the clarification Hathbanger, keep it up dude.

The bass line is tight. I like how it starts out low in the mix then becomes the forefront (no pun intended) of the song.

The edit was ill as fuck, i see dubstep is the hottest thing in edits now a days which is cool i love dubstep keep up the good work

yeah i saw that, there is one, thats a sick spot for a go pro and a sick edit, hath slays hard
