100 jumps at one resort?

i was just surfin the web looking around some ski resort sites, and i went to big the big bear site, the front page says this season big bear is going to have 117 jumps!!! and over 57 'jib features' 2 superpipes over a vast 195 acres!!!!! that is sick, what do u guys think? i have heard of bear but not of there park what do u guys think?

check out the vids to the new site previewing tonight its a lot of snowboarding but still sick, and the vid editing is movie-worthy quality its nice

100+ jumps is a lot...do you thing the amount of hits challanges the integrity of the park? So many hit means a lot of work and neglect for the park as a whole?

Any thoughts?

thats not a stupid question at all, 117 jumps will take alot of man power to maintain....how are they going to do it? i doubt they will be able to groom and shape 117 jumps a day.Not saying that it wont be cool though

i love how some resorts have trouble maintaining 2 or 3 jumps yet alone 117

Why wouldn't they build 20 perfect kick ass jumps and keep them well maintained, instead of having 117 poorly maintained jumps.

i cant believe people are complaining that there are 117 jumps at a resort. it doesnt make sense to me.

117 jumps is the ultimate park for me. u could work on any trick and do slow stylie 5s on the big ones and tight speedy fives on the small ones it would be nutty. but creating definitive variety with 117 jumps must be hard. 57 jibs is a great amount, should be lots of variety

they shud put um all down in a strait line with 2 jumps next to eachother and the rails every other set of jumps between them.... then u culd have humongo lines...

 
they wouldnt need to maintain every single jump every single night. with that many hits, only the most popular would need care every night...which would prolly be round 20. think about it

while cascade makes a good point (as always) one should know that if they promise 117 jumps then they will have a sick park crew to look after it.

i'm sure alot of hills have 100 or more jumps, just cause they aren't in the park doesn't mean you can't jump them, park is so confining, go and try to trick of a cornice or something, that's way cooler

they forgot to mention all the jumps are just 2ft hi mounds of snow except for 3 fatty kickers (40-50') on the tripple crown run...hopefully theyll upsize for this year.

Papa we dont all have cornices, and in many cases we're too lazy to go do shit where we dont have a chairlift. also park jumps are usually buhilt well, and safely

i went to bear like 5 years ago and i have still yet to find a place with more quality park.

20 jumps in a row... you could get tricks dialed so good. just hit the same trick on every jump when your trying to learn something, and you would have it in 2 runs.
