Alrighty i jusrt spotted this flat handrail in my town thats over 100 feet prolly goin on like 130 and mayb every 20 feet there are these little bulges in the metal that look like somewhere the welder fucked up neway can those be filed down ?

we've filed down an aluminum one before and that took us forever so doing that too a metal one multiple times might take quite sometime

How big are the bulges? Maybe you could kind of bounce them.

the only way to grind away excess weld like that is with an electric grinder. i wouldnt reccommend trying to do it with a hand file, youll be there for weeks

I think stoppers are quite a bit stronger than weld bubbles because the guy was trying to hold the railing and weld at the same time.

u could cut them off with a hacksaw that would prob be your best bet and then file them down when they are small
