what did i ever say about steve vai? i think steve vai should be top three at least if not second behind hendrix, and satriani and johnson too, but kurt cobain and jack white should be there too...just because they dont do fucking high pitched crazy note picking guitar solos, does not mean they are/were not great guitarists

i dont mean to disrespect, but Kurt didnt show a lot of skill, there's a difference between a good sounding band and good sounding guitar and guitar greatness. White, now thats just retarded. there is no reason white should even be top 100. his riffs are extrememly simple and EXTREMEMELY repetitive, each of his songs is just one riff basically, repeated over and over with very slight, if any, changes.

No, it's because they do nothing particularly useful that they shouldn't be there. Cobain was a much better writer than a guitar player, and White... well, I can't think of anything that White does well enough to put him on ANY all time list. And considering the absence of Steve Vai, Satriani, Alex Lifeson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Django Reinhardt, Eric johnson, Steve Morse, Phil Keaggy, Lowell George, Johnny Winter, Kerry Livgren, Chet Atkins, Mick Taylor, Russ Hammond, Leo Kottke, Paco de Lucia, Andres Segovia... the list goes on. If these guys didn't make the list, how the hell are those two in such high spots, or ON here at all? I'm also Irritated that joan Jett is on there whereas Nancy Wilson isn't. If they wanted a female guitarist...
