this entire event has completely shaked me as a sheltered american, and as a sheltered human..truly nothing to this extent has truly shaken my ground, but watching the television today and the extreme horror that unfolds across the screen completely shatters my thoughts, and opinions of the world. never did i think a massacre of this kind could envelop the world and eat it whole.. i am scared, and freightened for all of the people tonight who live in that area having to deal with it.. i just cant imagine a child going to sleep knowing that everyone he ever came in contact with has perished in hours.. it is truly magnigicent and extreme that the power of the weather holds.. my prayers go out to all of the lost.. even my cousin who lives in israel was supposed to honeymoon in Thailand next week.. this event truly sparks my interest in helping people.. never have i been so scared/eye opened to life, and it's excruciating and loving powers.. maybe this event will unite the world somehow politically but i see very small gaps of positive..

screw you^. those people have experienced a trajedy, and you can only think about making dumb statements. i dont have a tv, but i feel a genuine sense of loss, almost like part of the world got up and left. that is 100,000 chances to make a difference, if not in the world then in somebodys life. in addition, think of all the poor people that lost their whole families, or everything but the clothing they wore. it is a sad day indeed.

obviously its one of the worst things ive ever seen, and it's really nothing anyone can blame on. Although I think the US should bump the terror alert to RED because obviously the Ocean is the largest terrorist organization in the world, and we're surrounded by it.

Whyt does everything have to be about the US. Shut up 100,000 ppl died and you are in shock and feel terrible that doesnt make u sheltered that makes u human. I do feel for the victims of the event and pray that relief can be provided before disease and hunger set in to double or even triple the death toll!

and to give you guys an idea of what the wave was like just imagine a bath tub, and hurricane or tornado would create waves that would be like you blowing on the surface of the water in the tub so it would create small ripples on the surface. The earthquake created a wave that would be like you putting your hand under the water and pushing it forward underwater to create a huge swell and when it hits land since the land slows down the bottom the top keeps going forward and thats why it breaks when it hits land, because the top must be moving faster than the bottom.

i do feel sheltered.. im sorry if u guys feel differently.. its unfortunate but it's the truth.. i feel like i haven't experienced the life that others who arent as fortunate as i am.. and i haven't. i feel comfortable where i live.. im not afraid of others.. i can only imagine what it's like living in another country where its not a free land.. fuckin eh
