10 Years in jail

wow, our judicial system is fucked. why do only guys get charged with the rape? I mean it was the girl who was doing everything right?
 
may be different but i think i read a story about this by espn or sports illustrated - i think he was headed for the NFL as a cornerback or something
 
Wait he was 17 and she was 15? I am pretty sure that's 100% legal? If he was 18 it'd be different. And it was consensual, so what's the deal?
 
I'm pretty sure that if it was 100% legal, as much as it seems as though it should be, the courts wouldn't have ruled the way they did.
 
Ya, there was another thing like this on TV. Some black guy was placed on parole for unarmed robbery of 2 dollars, and later he was caught violating his parole by smoking weed. He was sentenced to life in prison for violating his parole, and was in jail from age 18 to 25 or something like that, until he was freed because his story got out and tons of people helped his appeal go through.

I think this is straight up racism, I can't see something like this happen to a person of any other color.

Ridiculous, i know plenty of couples in my school that are that exact age, so stupid that could be one grade apart...
 
I know someone who's going to jail for statuatory rape. The girl is suing not because she got raped but because she wants money. She was the one who took advantage of his drunk ass, I was there. Legal system in this country is fucked.

and it's not even statutory rape. if he was 12 and had oral sex from a 15 year old girl the charges would be exactly the same.

Statutory rape is when someone is over 18 and the other person is under 18. one being an adult and the other a child.
 
georgia is so fucked up i cant wait to get out of this shit hole. but thats so fucked up that a froup of proscecutors watched this kid get a bj to help make their decision, thats whats fucked up. they should get in trouble for that

fuck 10 years?? thats so fucked up. the law is so screwed up, that dosent make any sense at all. its sex, not fucking murder, actually its pretty much the opposite of murder if you think about it.

my friend got in trouble for mooning some people and they said if he broke the law again in any way in the next year, including getting a speeding ticket, he would be a sex offender. so pretty much they could have fucked his entire life up for mooning someone. if anything the judge should get arrested for almost fucking up someones life.

its crazy how bad everyone thinks sex is now, we can have killing and all sorts of violence in pg rated movies, but if there is any sex at all it is rated R, and whats worse killing or sex? like i said they are pretty much opposites.

i think the law should be if you want to have sex you can, cause its usually by the age of like 12-15 when people want to, and thats mature enough to handle it, there is no point in trying to stop something that naturally happens, especially something like sex.

its also stupid that the people making these laws are probably like 60 year olds who have no idea what its like to be young. they just remember that back in the old days they didnt have sex till they were 30 and married. so they hear about a 18 year old having sex and think its the most awfull thing ever.
 
a friend here is being tried for the same thing, even though the girl apparently was saying 'fuck me' on the tape.. the media and news is making the dude seem like a complete rapist
 
wow, that makes me think of that woman here in Canada. She got 2 years in jail for having sex with a 13 y.o . Even thought the boy was consent
 
illegal in most states for two minors to have even consensual sex and other sexual relations...i think its a pretty stupid law but it exists almost everywhere
 
so the kid who should have never been in jail is still in jail because the prosecuter is ignoring the spirit of the romeo + juliet law and is determined to punish him even more

Pretty much. The state wants him to stay longer, even though the law he broke was changed on account of this case, and the jailtime lowered to a year. He's already been in jail for two years. I really hope the state has a good argument for keeping him in jail another 8 years. They're going to have to prove "cruel and unusual punishment" (which was why the judge repealed the sentence) is okay.

The south is still fucked up.
 
Its definitely fucked, the dude is 18 and this bitch is 16. She's still having older dudes fuck her almost every weekend.

Ever since I turned 18 I've tried to be very careful, in this country you can get fucked for doing next to nothing.
