10 Most difficult sports - agree or disagree?

All of you are considering that the hardest sport is the one you practice for..

I will not try to make anny list because you have to practice a sport to realy know how difficult it is.

For exemple a lot of you are talking about ball game (football, basketball, baseball..) I would never put one of those on my 5 hardest sport list! But considering what i've read from you, i'm wrong.

But skateboarding is the hardest for me. need strenght, ballance, and mind game. +you have to control something witch is not fixed to you.

I would argue more but i'm not really good in english and its to late haha.

Freeride/Dirt Jump/Downhill mountain biking.

It took me two years to learn how to 360. The risk factor is so high.

Biking is pretty simple. Very little coordination involved until you start doing bars/tails combos. Super risky and committing. Pretty much nobody uses brakes/helmets riding street/dj either.

Sorry, but can't agree, you could pick a mildly athletic person and let them swing (wildly) at 100 pitches from an MLB pitcher and he has a good chance of at least connecting with one. You take the same person and throw him on the ice during an NHL game, even on the PP with the Sedins and he's not likely to score

lol at horrible logical argument fail.

not to mention most people couldnt swing wildly in a 65mph batting cage and connect let alone a major league pitcher throwing 90+

Incorrect. Watch Rad Company, or rampage

If you read further down I apologized as I had a few drinks that night and realized in the morning that it did not make sense haha

Also you're getting hit as hard as you would be in football without any protection. Being 130 and getting nailed by girls who are 200+ is pretty intense.

Play doesn't stop either. When you get tackled, there's a ruck above you which usually involves a lot of face kicking and trampling. Metal cleats are legal too not to mention. You can pretty much do whatever you want to get the ball from the other team like stripping it out of their hands. I've been elbowed in the face so many times from stripping and being stripped.

It's really confusing to learn if you hadn't grow up with it. Most people could understand what's going on in soccer, basketball, football etc even if they've never played. Rugby has a lot of things most people(at least in America) have no idea are. Ex. Rucks, mauls, scrums etc.

Rugby is also one of few sports with the exact same rules and field dimensions between guys and girls unlike lacrosse, baseball/softball, soccer etc.

Pretty much, it wasn't an option to not know about Rugby at my school, there's usually one or two folk from each year in the Scotland squad. My Cousin is a former international too, couple of Scotland caps and played for Edinburgh and Sale. I'm 6'4 and he makes me look a touch on a weedy side... I'm quite glad I opted for rowing in the end, better for my fitness and a lot more relaxing.

I'd honestly have to say that curling is the most difficult sport

You will never be this prolific at sliding riebeckite-rich micro-granite that can only be found on one island of the coast of Scotland over a carefully prepared flat and level rectangle of ice.

That chart is still bullshit.

Football's endurance is a 5.38? They play for 10 seconds at a time.

Rugby's nerve is only a 6.5 while football is a 7.25? Take the pads off of any football player and lets see what happens.

Football has a speed 7.13? They barely run 10 seconds.

People underestimate the sports that aren't from America.

i didn't look at whatever chart youre referring to but idk, i'd be hesitant to discount the claims about football. people love to point out that the plays are short and they wear pads but you have to keep in mind that in rugby, the people hitting you arent wearing pads either, and they are probably the same size as you, meaning the hits are not going to be as intense. trying to outperform and getting hit by a guy your size wearing normalish clothes is not the same as being a (relatively) medium small receiver and getting destroyed by an enormous linebacker

just my 2 cents on a couple examples. people like to try to discount american football's intensity but i think there's a reason it features probably the most gnarly dudes in sports (in terms of being fast/big/muscular etc)

Wrestling. It looks gay, but no other sport challenges you mentally, physically, or emotionally as much as fighting with all your strength and focus for six minutes straight, with no sub and no one to blame but yourself.

Soccer imo is the most difficult sport, the most people in the world play it therefore to be one of the better soccer players in the world you need to be extremely talented. Not only that but you need to be in shape, mentally fit to make strategic decisions on the go, and have the skill to execute it with every part of your body.

I would think Motocross would be higher on the list. its probably one of the the most physically and mentally draining sports. In supercross 450 riders can be riding for the total of 3 heats, 8 laps in the heat race,6 laps in the last chance qualifier, and 20 laps in the main. during a race riders are pushing 92% of their maximum heart rate for at least 20 minutes during a main race. their constantly pushing their limits riding a 250 pound machine flying over 100 foot jumps and going as fast as possible every weekend. then endless physical training and testing during the week.

Do you ride/race?

If we are talking about learning curve, skiing, snowboarding, downhill mt biking, slack lining, skateboarding, blading, gymnastics, probably more I am missing, but this is my list of difficult sports to learn, maybe not in this order, but that's what I think.

Water Polo should be replaced with swimming if not number 1, I may be a bit biased because I play water polo though. hockey should at least crack top 10.

Mike Tyson Punch-Out should be number one. No one can knock Tyson out in that game. Dont know anyone whose ever beat that game

In my opinion baseball should at least be on the list, granted lower down. Hitting a baseball is widely accepted as the hardest thing to do in sports so shouldn't it make the list?

Can Baseball even be considered as a sport??

That ESPN thing was some bullshit. Long distance Cycling got ranked higher for nerve as they defined as how much fear to be overcome. What the hell is so frightening about riding a bike for a long distance. Also boxing scored higher than gymnastics in that category. I feel like when people start to box it could be scary to be in a fight but it has a lot to do with self confidence of the person and most people who are getting involved in boxing have high self confidence. whats the worst that happens-your face is bruised up and theres blood all over your face. thats not that scary compared to landing on your neck and not being able to complete basic motor functions.
