was the first thing i saw when i turned on my tv this morning before work. Wish people wernt so fucked.
 
wow you should look for a career in PR, because that was really well stated but total bullshit. There is no sense of community in Aurora.
 
Honestly the news coverage on this is getting nauseating. I was just watching some bullshit psychiatrist talking about easing your kids back into going to the movies. i mean seriously? This country gets so worked up about stuff like this in the most selfish way. All of a sudden its me, me, me I'm so hurt and I'm so upset, and I'm not talking about people in CO I'm talking about my friends who have no connection to the west coast let alone colorado. And in 5 days none of them will even remember this happened or care about it.

I work in Aurora, about 2 miles from the theater. Driving to work this morning i heard the news on the radio, they had a bunch of callers call in describing there experience, It was pretty chilling.
I drove by the theater on my lunch break, all roads are blocked off an cops everywhere. The theater parking lot is packed full of News channel vans and trucks, with tents and people everywhere. It was a crazy scene.
 
Talking about actual reality. Charlotte Haley created(from inspiration) the ribbon as a tool of awareness to the masses that only 5% of the National Cancer Institute's funds go towards cancer prevention. The medical establishment and other corporate fuckfaces like the Komen Foundation now make billions off of the masses since they fail to realize that oncology(radiation) is a business and a scam. Social engineering works.
 
See that's a bad result of this and people shouldn't think like that. Even before this event you could have thought this could happen anywhere at anytime. People shouldn't let this inspire fear in them to not go to the theaters. I understand it will have a similar effect to how after 9/11 people didn't want to fly for a while, but I really hope people can still enjoy the movie theater after all this tragedy and not let this sadistic guy get to them. I understand the fear, but we all still go to school after Virginia Tech so hopefully everyone can move on eventually.

Terrible thing altogether it makes me sick thinking about it so much and watching all the news coverage.
 
ahhhh... Thats honestly part of the reason why I didnt like this ribbon.. I immediately thought someone tried to be clever and think of a design they could sell and profit from this.
 
Yup:( Bottom line is a business will almost always exploit people(consumers) if it means $. Unless the consumer wakes up the cycle never ends.
 
Not to mention the Norway shooting almost exactly a year ago. Some people are fucked up no matter what country they're in. Vibes to everyone effected by this, it's just awful.

I've seen that ribbon posted at least 100 times now. I don't really have a problem with it. Without the batman silhouette it just looks like a ribbon with a colorado symbol. 20 years from now people will have no idea what it means. It distinguishes itself for just representing the shootings on 7/20. And its blue because the colorado flag is blue.
 
This is also going to start blowing up on facebook. I like this idea.

i drove by the theater the other night on the way home from a friends house earlier today my friend sent me a picture of the theater and it was crazy, you wouldn't have even noticed it if you werent reading the signs but today looking at that picture i took a second and thought this could have happen any where to any one, just the way things changed and the overwhelming feeling of greif is emense, every one knows some one who knows some one who was in there, this is a sad time. i wasn't living in colorado for columbine but i heard it was comparable... i cant imagine.
 
The columbine shooters at least had the decency to shoot themselves. It looks like this guy had the full intention of making an escape and never getting caught. At least he has a lot of prison time to look forward to.
 
To be honest, If I were a little kid and a man wearing black body armour shot a fucking gun at me in a movie theater, I would not want to see anything that looked close to that for a long time. The kids in that theater are probably going to have soooo many psychological problems for the rest of their lives.
 
Its weird if you look at all these physcos on tv you can see it in their eyes... look at it next time its creepy
 
My dad mentioned that to me, its true. Their stares are just blank, and you can tell theres just something wrong...Still can't believe this happend so close to home, sooo close.
 
I strongly encourage anyone who wanted to see the movie and is now afraid to, to sack up and see a matinee or something, It is a great conclusion to the series and it would be a shame to let one fucked up person's actions prevent you from an enjoyable quality movie. just my .02$

It's usually just because you know they're fucked up so you try to see it. And a lot of the pictures you see are mugshots. Mugshots make a person look bad no matter what.
 
I didn't expect this mugshot after hearing the story of what he did. He actually looks like a good guy if you weren't told he just shot up a movie theater.
