1 ski company youd never buy?

i cant believe im the first person to question the purpose of this thread. I think ive seen pretty much every major company on this list with mostly weak reasons from people who are basing their opinion solely off of what theyve heard from people bitching on this site. Why not be constructive and talk about what companies are doing right instead of filling this site with bullshit?

Im skeptical about this thread... everyone bashes company hardly nobody ride. like 9th, liberty elan and nordica. dont tell me noone rides them cuz they suck cuz from the begining noone rode them. I think I've seen 1 pair of libertys in my life, one of nordica, which help up good, 0 9th and I personally ride on elan for many years and 2005 is the only year they were mediocre.

id never buy from ninthward

after my go around (as well as some of my friends' go arounds) with core companies, not very stoked to touch them. It costs a lot of money, and we got dicked in the end. Armada is probably the only one Id consider (if you would even consider it "core." they have a ton of money) but my AR5s didnt even last 2 months before getting destroyed, and that was in a year where the mountains here were only open for... 2 months... but my JPs were delightful.

and to woozy, the changes do help a lot. Perhaps more could be done, but the reenforced edge really reduces the blowouts. and if shape is a big issue, '08s will be different.

i have access to rossi scratch fs wrs and the scratch bc wrs and i must say those are some top notch skis right there. However i have a deep seated juvenile hatred for quiksilver so i will never buy rossi

i also had the displeasure of trying a pair of head mojo 80s. Man super stiff with little to no pop. because of this i wont buy head.

oh it may be worth metioning that im super light (135lbs)

other than that i'd probably buy most companies gear if i could afford it. I tend go for the rider owned companies more than the big companies but thats just personal preference.

I demoed some of last years mojo 80s, and i wish i had bought them, or mojo 90s

They are made for bigger guys though (im 240 by the way)

Whats wrong with all you guys hatin on 9thward. if youve ever ridin their skis you know they are legit. if youve ever talked to cambell you know he is legit. so quite your bitchin and ride 9thward.

word, when the start crumbling you can almost press down and have a lil give on certain parts of the ski.

whats armadas image? being progressive and supporting the sport? or is it there never ending quest to produce a durable product? or is it that they have creativity and rider owned?

probably why no one is riding them. no but i dont see why all the hate on liberty. their skis are sick. but elan on the other hand

i'm kinda new to ns, but what is with all the hate on ninthward? I would buy them execpt for the fact that they are a bit too expensive, and they are kinda played out at my mountain casue like four kids ride for them. I personally think their image is koool, just cause no other company supports g's and 12 year olds toatin glocks, but I've heard their skis are allright. please explain!!!

I ride salomon boots, but i will never buy a pair of their skis again, terrible service and they broke so damn fast, and no ninthward... why not learn from other people's mistakes instead of wasting my money to learn it myself.

Line, Liberty, 9thward, and Armada (except maybe the ANT). The reason I won't buy from these companies is because they don't make any skis I'd ever want to ride.

alright im not asking you to respond. im just saying you have many posts, are PPP, and people do listen to what you say. thats why i chose to quote you over everyone else saying 9th.

9thward

very unprofesional and seem to get together with people that are the same. that or screw over good people who put trust in their product.

i'm going to say nordica because i forgot they even made skis until i read through this. also, head. that one is sort of unfounded, but i just wouldn't purchase head skis.

I would never buy 9th wards, 1 because of there business skills straight up they suck, I've heard way too many stories that there shipping is fucked, and in their catalogue last year, the outter wear only had drawings and no pictures of the actual thing which is fucking gay and cheap. 2 because their image, and for those who said you shouldn't care about there image because they're killer guys, well then tell those killer guys not to push thier image so much in hopes of selling more product. Cuz they're "bad ass" image to me, screams, pussy ass rich white guys that think they're ghetto.

I also will not currently buy Line. The reason for this is, I feel they don't do enough product testing. I like there innovativeness but they've had two many problems with different things that product testing should have caught. Like there bindings breaking (which I loved that idea because I have 4 piars of skis) and skis delaming. Its cool that they'll give you a new pair but then it takes time out of your riding season to wait for the new pair only to have the problem reoccure because there the same model, aslo it gives there company too much bad press. So until they put two seasons of problem free product out I will not consider them either.

I will never buy a ski from a SNOWBOARD company periode

until salmon changes its core i won't buy salomon, i feel that there overall product is good, and lasts but i don't feel that it is worth the price. As for ninthward i would love to get my hands on mikd's pro model, after the whole ns thing caused me to rethink that descision

If u asked me a couple months ago I wouldve said Nordica for tryin the "beasts" but now that thomas and Bushy are on the team I guess they changed their shit. Everybody should consider the Larose, totally diff, with sidewalls and what not. and I dont like 9thwards image but their skis are sick so whatever..

In an industry where image is everything, I would definitely not buy a pair of 9thwards, I cannot believe that ad of Mkd and they pitbull in freeskier, I felt like I was looking at an exco ad in stiches.
