I'm convinced this is bull.
My shop gets few Salomon issues but the ones we get are taken care of very well by Salomon.
They have even told some customers that since they are sold out that they will send them next year's models.
Guys, talk to the shop. Get the shop involved. 
Salomon is the best brand to support freestyle skiiing. If they can't warranty often then send a single ski for the customer...
They try to find solutions for the kid.
It's reallly annoying hearing comment that they are unlegit. So lame.
