#1 reason not to get a PC.

If someone thought it was a good idea to do that for macs, im sure there would be a similar result.

 
this has nothing to do with deciding what comptuer to get

it even tells you how to remove it even if you are dumb enough to put it on your system

truth. but there are viruses for macs, and anyone who doubts it should give me their email address and only open their email on their shiny apple fart.
 
That's the unfortunate reality. A lot of my relatives have bought macs because they say they get no viruses. The thing is that 99% of people do not realize, is that there are a number of viruses out. Most of them far more damaging than the traditional PC virus. Most people also don't realize that Macs have virus software, it is just installed within OSX without ever telling you.
 
Unfortunately PCs have earned a bad rap because they are so popular. Because PCs run almost every office world wide, people create viruses directed towards attacking PCs because of all the valuable info so many of them hold. While very little Macs run offices, it is not worth someone's time to develop a virus that can only attack a few said offices. Macs have been increasing in popularity very fast. Soon the tables will turn and people will begin to question why they are getting so many viruses on their Mac. Macs definitely aren't about to decrease in popularity either. A year or two ago they gave Best Buy permission to sell their computers. I however do enjoy PCs. I think there are brilliant designs out there. Especially those new touch screen HP desktop computers. Just as innovative as a Mac, yet half the price. It also depends on how the operator owner surveys how the computer is used. I use Firefox and I know it has saved me from suffering various pop-ups that could inflict a virus on my computer. Simple changes can really make all the difference in how a PC performs. I got that Antivirus on my computer a long time ago. I never even clicked on anything it just started and I knew it was a virus the second it popped up. I turned my computer off immediately and went to the home computer. Searched on how to delete it. Downloaded a recommended program by the name of Rogue Remover. Transferred the saved file onto the infected computer and within 10 seconds the virus disappeared and my computer was unharmed. So basically it all depends on the user.

I hate when people use the no virus excuse for a mac. There are viruses, and the more computers they sell, the more viruses there will be. I also run a pc. i see nothing wrong with vista, and i know it very well and would have to hate to learn a new OS

But its also true that macs have come such a long way in such a short amount of time. Their stock designs outdo anything i have seen done in the PC world, both the computer its self and the way the os was designed. Honestly, if Macs came with a big hard drive, lots of ram and a good video card, for half the price of it is now, i would totally get one. But i can build my own laptop on dell.com to match the higher end macs, for cheaper, using all dell parts, not even aftermarket.

I do plan on maybe splurging on a mac for college, so i can video chat with friends and what not, but i will most definitely run windows along side OSX and will probably use windows a lot more. it will also make an easy transition.
 
you'll only get this virus if you're a dumb fuck retard that doesn't know what a legit autorun screen is for a usb drive. if you get this virus you deserve to get it for being so stupid. and you're right if you get the virus maybe you should get a mac instead because you're too stupid to have a pc to begin with.
 
Damn you kids on this site beat the PC/Mac debate to hell over and over again. There is at least one thread every month on the subject. You arent going to change anyone's views on the subject either way, why try?
