(1) Lost Grizzlycorn at Baker - Reward

So I lost the left ski off my pair of grizzlycorns yesterday at Baker. It was last seen out of the corner of my eye in the chute above The Knob, off chair 1. We have theorized that its path would've more than likely been to the skiers right into the trees/off the cliff to the right of knob proper. It is mounted with a Atomic branded 914 th.at have been used 3 times that i'd really like to have back.
Just thought I'd let the population know in case one of you comes across it randomly or something.
The reward can be chosen from the following list: Sticker pack and a ON3P or SickStickz tee shirt, lunch, a free mid-week ride to Baker with complimentary coffee and pastry, 20 bucks cash, a sixer of PBR or 1 pitcher at the Up and Up Bar in downtown Bellingham pending age verification, or a green Analog or black Bonfire Jacket in XL.
 
Ohhh man...sorry dude. I hate when that happens. Losing just one is such a bitch.

On a happier note, those rewards all sound pretty fantastic if you ask me haha.
 
i was present for this misfortune. help sam find his ski. so he can ski. i will throw in a complimentary high five and/or a verbal congratulations.
 
go back there with a metal detector. they work well. back in the day when I was a land surveyor we had one for locating buried property markers... so if you can't find/borrow one around the resort, ask a survey company.
 
i was just curious cocksack. Christ i wanted to know if he lost a pair of jmos, wrens, caylors, or whatever so i could empathize.
 
Pretty sure the ski patrol already went over the area with a metal detector unfortunately.....still couldn't find it.
 
We need to start a service to link up people who have lost single skis/bindings. Or donate them to rad dudes in sit skis.
 
If I cant find the single I lost by the time i re-up I'll be thinking about doing just that. So if anyone here knows a totally rad sit skier that wants a 191 unicorn that feeds on pow let me know and i'll send it his way if its buddy isn't found.
 
damnnn that sucks. i lost one of my chronics for like a month once, but then as the snow started to melt i found it. hope you find it
 
This is by far the highest quantity of rewards I've seen offered on ns. I'd offer to help, but I'm stuck in shithole Minnesota. Still, hope you find your ski.
 
ive been seriously considering tying like a 30 fot long tether to each my skis and tying it to my anlkle and tucking it into my snowpants

i have come so close to loosing my ski too many times this year or even when you know where it is but its on top of a pillow or just way above you in deep pow

 
That sucks man,this happened to my uncle while skiing in Europe, but ski patrol found it in the spring and mailed it to him lol. So i wouldnt give it up yet.
 
ththat sucks bro my brother lost one a ski up at whistler never got it back. im going to be goin up to baker on monday or tuesday ill keep a eye out for it and ill tell my brother who goes to western to keep a eye out for it as well
 
I know it sounds stupid, but I know people who have had success finding skis with metal detectors. Might be worth a shot. Repost for me but I let a girl test out some demos I had when I was repping for Head. She took a digger, lost the ski and it dove. We looked for a long time, but never found it. Had to ski her out on my back. This was in Sun Up Bowl in Vail. Road my mountain bike back there in late spring, and the ski was just laying there right about where we thought it would have been. Only a little rust on the edges which came off no prob. Moral: Don't lose hope.
 
I have another vote for giving the metal detector another shot.

Also, I too went and found a ski in the summer in the same manner Mr. Huck describes. couldn't believe how easy it was... and for the record there were metal detector searches for that ski too...
 
i spent a good amount of time looking for sam's ski with a metal detector today. no luck. its a hairy spot to lose a ski. pretty sketchy ski hunt. i'll be out there again tomorrow searchin.
 
big thanks to the sorcerer for searching for it this morning. chairman 'dalf put forth a commendable effort, earning a many pints of grog come monday night.
 
A friend of mine lost a ski last season. Went up in the summer and there it was. So yeah do that!
