have u guys seen these new commercials? I think the message they are trying to get across is that driving while high is safer than driving while not high, I mean if 2/3rds wern't high those r the people we gotta watch out for.

That's still the wrong way to look at it. You'd have to look at the percentage of people driving high who are reckless drivers, versus the percentage of people not high driving who are reckless drivers. Your argument and their argument aren't statistically significant.

And on the side of the potheads... the stat that they didnt tell you is how many people who are high get in accidents. Cause i bet it's only like maybe 25% max who do while their high... I dont get why their making a big deal about the high drivers when prolly the other 2/3 is people who are drunk.... silly US government!

I was thinking about this the other day. How do they detect if you were 'high'? A drug test, right? But depending on the test, can't they detect the drugs a couple weeks (in somecases months) traces of pot in your system? So how do they determine if you were high while driving?

 
I knew a kid...one hell of a skier had a friend who was a stoner, both had been drinking homecoming night the stoner was high...he got behind the wheel of the other kids vehicle...long story short the stoner left his friend to die after the roll over, because he was afraid to get caught...that was the year before the olympics...this kid would've been an alternate in the bumps but instead he is dead.

go ahead smoke all the pot you want...but kill yourselves instead of other people please!

in a roadside study. the real way to think about this tho is to take the entire amount of drivers 100%, im sure that over 60% have at least once DRIVEN high. like 25% of those 100% get wreckless driving violations, which is ANY traffic stop basically from speeding to not stopping for a pedestrian. so if 33% of wreckless drivers are high and get a wreckless driving, that means that only like 5% of people that smoke and drive get wreckless driving. if 5% of stoners get traffic violations, and 25% of sober people do.......

and these studies are crap because the justice system is fucked up. a cop is gonna pull over a teen going the same speed as a older woman, and the teen is more likely to smoke anyways. and the cop is more opt to write a ticket to a teen as well. so until we kill all the police there will be stupid reports like this.

no its that 1 in 3 reckless drivers TESTED FOR DRUGS tested positive for pot. And a lot of reckless drivers aren't tested. So its not as bad as you thing

for the testing thing, if your driving impaired the cops if they suspect your high will take you to the hospital to give you a blood test

kind of like the commercial where the kids are in dads dean smoking down and the one kid picks up a gun and kills the other kid. HOW THE HELL IS POT RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT??? maybe if the dumbass parents explained to their son that if you're going to make a bad choice becareful not to make it a life altering choice. Maybe if we legalized pot kids wouldn't put themselves in dangerous positions. It would be easier to call home and get a safe ride home if you wheren't afraid of getting in trouble or being miss judged by closeminded folks. plus if the dumbass parents would put their guns out there kids sight we wouldn't have so many accidental shootings. As far as driving while high, just don't mix drugs and drive, no booze and bong hits or whippets and bong hits while driving and use commonsence while on the road. When you don't want to get pulled over drive like your supposed to, not too slow or too fast but the right way. It is amazing how many people drive like an ass while fucked up. Hello Lawyers aren't cheap ya know.
