Thats a 1-foot grind?! I thought it was when you slide forward with 1 ski paralell to the rail. Shit those look really bad most of the time (sometimes they look coo but rarely). i was wondering why everyone was makin such a big deal. my mistake.

thats how things like skiing progress tho. people start doin harder tricks(one foots are way harder) then people work on makin em look stylish. one foots may go into style or not but there are people who can make em look sick. as for the inline backslide up there god damn is that pic old school. trick is still hard but nowadays people can make backslides/fastslides/pudslides n e thing one foot look so good. dont limit skiing by trying to kill off one footers right away. and its not all'becoming inline' sskateboarders do one foot grabs, im sure someone has done a grind one footed these 'extreme sports' are all realated very closely and help each other progress.

 
you probably cant do fastslides, as they are called. you probably arent black either. i would suggest you shut up, and come back when you are black and can do fastslides. you can only talk shit on tricks that you can do

you know, maybe when the first guy to ever slide a rail on skis did it some skier were probably like, 'that is gay we are not snowboarders,' and now look what happened. i mean yes the stupid extra plate for your boots so that you can slide facing forward is definitely idiotic and looks completely unstylie, and maybe that one kid up there looks bad doing a one foot grind, but i am sure that if done right, one foot grinds are sick. eventually, a ton of people will do them, because they are a sweet technical trick that has the potential to look sweet.

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.
