1/2 Pipe Trix ?

Hi,

I wanted to do some research into 1/2 & 1/4 pipe specific tricks, but since this is one of the newer aspects of freeskiing, there is little to be found.

anyone know a good site (beside here ;) ? )

well there arent alot, only flairs, venus fly traps, and invert nines mostly, but you can do all those on regular jumps too!

 


great example, the venus flytrap, WTF is it ? and how do you guys know it ? other than being good enough to hit the pipe and learn from others who are out there...

venus fly trap= flair to front flip, check out ski movies and stuff they help alot with trying to figure out tricks. also check out www.skiingmotion.com which is really helpful for learning tricks because it has the video and then the explaination of the trick underneath it in writing,

i'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but i've got a section of halfpipe tricks on my site:

like you said skiers are just starting to go off in the halfpipe, so it will be hard to find video footage of the newest pipe tricks (Shimo's got some fucked up McTwist like things, McTwists, Corks, flatspins, Turpin's switch 'horizons', and we're probably going to see some cool ally-op off-axis spinning tricks - but i know it's hard to put a trick that doesn't exist yet in a video game) both on the net and in the latest batch of ski videos. Best thing to do would be to get a hold of some good pipe skiers and watch them or do whatever you have to do to know how to make a animated skier dude do the trick.
