Any kind of ruckus we make will do something. If we get 1 million people pissed off that halpipe skiing is not in the olympics. Even though that is a fraction of Olympic viewers, that's still a good enough amount to make them change their decisions.

what a pathetic group. i joined along with 100 or so of my firends. people need to just invite everyone who give a fuck if they ski or not. just invite.
lame

A million is alot brother but at least were aiming high. I dont even know if there are a million newschool skiers on facebook. Well see its almost at 7,000

im tottally behind the idea of pushing for Halfpipe in the olympics, and everyone that gets invited is learning something i bet, but i don't know if we will get to 1,000,000 eventually the growth will taper off, but never worry it is making a difference.

it'd be cool to get an orginization together with a ton of companies backing it that could also help sway the olympic committee in charge of making the call

nooo ns already has way to many noob threads a day, if a million more people came, itd just be retarded!

Just joined the group and sent invites to 200+ friends. Hopefully some join...

I'll buy a shirt when they're released def.

so a facebook group is going to get skiing into the olympics........

who really cares anyway, the olympics are great, but why do we need to be in there? becuase snowboarding is? everyone knows skiing is at a ridiculous level (in pipe especially) but i would be seroiusly offended if skiing got the recognitoin it deserved solely because it made the olympics. we gotta do our own shit and stop trying to be like everyone else.

cue the angry 16 year olds who will totaly misunderstand what im saying.....

I don't misunderstand your opinion, but the Olympics will bring soooooo many more viewers to watch our sport and I don't understand how you think that's a bad thing. More viewers=more money for pros because of more people buying gear, so that they don't have to work construction over the summer just so they can ski all winter and compete/film for all of us to watch.I'm not saying that they are skiing for us, but I am saying that we are a big part of why competitions are where they are today, with so many viewers. Also you said to do our own thing to get recognition, well, unfortunatley nobody else but NS and Freeskier are gonna wanna broadcast our events online, rather than the whole world watching us on TV. Cue guy who think's i'm prepubescent and that I don't know what I'm talking about.
