09 Wall vs 09 Anthems

Heya folks..
I live in europe, and im going to france to ski for 2 months straight.Im 6.2 and weights 177.
I saw the movie with the Anthem on Line's website and I think it seems like a really cool ski. Im just uncertain if its going to be too soft and short for me? I will be using it for 80% park and 20% groomers, and its kind of important to me that it can handle the groomers pretty ok at high speeds without feeling like a total noodle.
The Wall i think is stiffer than the anthem and I dont really know much about it. I really like the whole idea of buttering and the piste and do like a 360 from ground. It looks awesome :)
Wall with STH14 driver for 460 euro.Anthem with Griffon for 470 euro.
And what about the weight of the ski? I dont want it to be heavy when I spin in the air. The anthem is pretty light i think. 2 kg per ski. But I haven't been able to find any weight information of the wall..
What should I get of the two?

Ok this one is an easy one. No contest the Wall is a better ski. If its cheaper for you then get it no questions asked. Sth14 is a more durable, higher end binding than the Griffon too.Wall + STH14 is a high end park ski packageAnthem + Griffon - Price point park ski, low end, all plastic binding.Ok so maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration but its the general idea. The anthem is an overgrown line invader, cheap, park ski, pretty durable, pretty good ski, but the Wall is just better. I might get flamed but the Wall has a faster base, better on piste, better on jumps, just as good on rails. Just a more solid ski. It is stiffer than the anthem, but its softer this year with butter zones so you will still be able to butter. For less money with better bindings and a better ski, get the Wall!!

Alright 1 up for the wall.
It's just some bad sizez the wall comes in. I think the 185 is a little long? And 177 is too short..181 would be perfect.. Wont I have some difficulties spinning a 185 ski? It sounds huge.

In addition, the 185cm Wall would probably be alot better for you than the 178cm Anthem, considering your height.

Line hasn't really realized that tall people also ski park.

185 will be fine. Might take 10 minutes to get used to but you just won't notice. I can spin fine on my 181s and I'm 5'8 and not even a very good park skier..

what would the advantage of getting the 185 over the 177?
And do all agree that its the wall i am to get?

Well you're 6'2 which is what 188cm.. 185 is roughly as tall as you. 177 is about.. Nose height.. On a centre mounted ski its usual to go a bit longer. Bridge of Nose to top of head is normal. But increasingly people are going longer.
Longer skis are more stable landing off big jumps, and easier to balance on rails (think of a tightrope walker with those long poles) Its just a personal preference though. If you like short skis then get the 177. But most people on here will tell you to get the 185s. How long are your old skis?

If you are already on 181s I doubt you will even notice the difference between those and 185 walls. The walls seem, to me to come up a little short anyway.

Im 5'9" and I ride the 185 Walls as my park skis. Volkl runs about 3cm short so a 185 is actually around a 182. If your not to hard on your bindings the STH14ths would be great, I have them on my walls right now but I have the worst luck with breaks and broke the break the 3rd day riding them. I would definitely look into the Marker Jester bindings before you decide what you want to get.

Its not the regular STH14 im getting. Its the DRIVER.. Which seem to me is a STH16 with a 14 din. The jester is 40 euro more.

How about the weight? Is the wall heavy compared to the anthem? Which is only 2kg each ski.

I liked how the pipe cleaner was so light.

And most importantly... Can i butter 360 with a wall and my weight using the 185 cm?

The Walls are pretty light, I would guess they are as light as the Anthems, which aren't that light.. Can you Butter on the Pipe Cleaners? If you can then the Walls will be similar, maybe a little softer from my experience but I only rode AR6s.. But 185 wall is about the same length as a 181 pipecleaner.. so i really doubt u'll have a problem
As for bindings.. STH Drivers are SICK.. the toepiece is way better than the regular Sth14.. Bomber.. Walls + Sth14 Drivers is a sick setup

I'm 5' 11" almost 6' and I ride this years Walls in 185 as my only park ski. So far I've been having a great time on them. 185 is a perfect length for you don't worry and as someone else mentioned they do run a centimeter or two shorter. As for buttering they're actually quite nice, you'll find that they start to loosen up a bit after awhile and you start getting used to their flex. I can butter 3 and 5 (claim) on them and I weigh about 165 or 170. All in all I recommend this ski to you for sure you'll have a great time with them

One last question. I can have the STH16 for 20 euro more. Would it be worth it over the STH14 Driver?Im never going to use the 16 din, not even 14 for that matter.

No,, by getting the 16 DIN model you are just wasting weight.. they are like 100g per binding heavier, because of the spring i guess. The 14 Driver will be just as good.
