09 line elizabeth or 09 blend?

Im about 5'8, 160lbs, and a very aggressive skier. im gonna center mount em with look px 15's and use them probably 50/50 park and all mountain/pow. 09 elizabeth or 09 blend 178?
 
to be honest neither of those sound like good options. Maybe try something in the middle like the K2 Seth or the Volkl Bridges depending on what flex you like. Also the Seth will be better for pow 98mm and mini rocker and the Bridge will be better for park with only 92 underfoot.
 
why wouldn't the blend be a good choice? the new blends are sooooooo sick.

by the way, that's my suggestion, the blends. i love those skis. absolutely amazing.
 
yea, no.

get the new blends, they fucking rule. similar flex as the chronics, still lightish weight, and just super fun. hands down my recommendation
 
your height and weight put you on the bacon. not the elizabeth, unless you want it for park only.
 
im stuck between the same 2 skis. ive demoed the new blends and they are sick. i think the elizabeths would be really fun, short, buttery. but the blends are a better performance ski.

does anyone know which ski is lighter. 179 blends or lizzys?
 
I am 90% sure its the lizzies; they are really light (at least the 07/08 ones are, so i'm assuming the 09's will be too). My friends 07-08 lizzies were lighter than my 172 06/07 blends (although his has sth bindings and i had the px12s)
 
i would say you were on the heavy side for lizzies. I'm the same height as you but 20 pounds lighter and I ride them.. blends i know nothing about.. but neither of these skis is designed to be centre mounted.. i would guess the mounting point on the blends is fairly far back -5 maybe.. and the lizzies are mounted at -2 and i wouldnt mount anywhere other than recommended because of the eliptical sidecut..
 
179 aurface live life 2.... 2009's have 3 stage rocker....this years are up for 350...hit me up if your interested in those and ill help you out. peace
 
of the two, blends, but exactly what the guy 2 above me already said, go with the surface live life 2s, i ski them i used to ski the blends and ive skiied the elizabeths, and they ride the same as the elizabeths but theyre longer and stiffer for an aggressive skier profile such as yourself. Of the 3 they are by far the most fun and yea, i got mine for 350 too its a good deal and no im not like boone im not sponsored by surface im just super pumped on the skis because theyre good for everything.
 
i have the a similar question but mine is between whether i wanna get a 2 ski quiver or a 1 ski quiver.

the 2 ski would be hellbents and anthems

my one ski would be the lizzies

are the lizzies a good do it all ski? im 5'10" and 155lbs
 
+1 for blends, we have similar stats. stoked to know my pair will arrive any time now... using it as my 1 ski quiver so yeah go with blends for sure.
 
I talked to a line rep and he said this years blends (08/09) are EXACTLY the same construction as next years the ONLY difference is next years are different colors and 100 bucks more.
