so im 180 pounds 5'11 and I ski east coast. I recently have wanted a ski thats 100 underfoot. My questions are... Are seths stiff or soft? How do they ride center mount ? Should i buy these for my 09 ski

well first of do u mean 08 seths or the 09 obSETHs? the 09s are a lot different, wider and with more rocker in the tip (early rise- whatever u want to call it). if ur on the ice coast i'd go with the 08s.
the 08s are fairly stiff, but at 180 lbs u'll be fine with them. definitely don't mount them core center, because they're really not made to be mounted there and they won't perform as well. u can mount them at the farthest forward recommended point though.

seems to me though if u want to have a centermounted allmountain/park ski u should check out the kung fujas. the waist is almost 100 and they're designed to be mounted farther up than the seths

im in the same situation: 6' 175 lbs. im highly considering the 179 obSETHeds.. i know they have a medium-stiff flex but are soft in the tips where the rocker is. flex is very similar to the AR6 ive heard

Are you saying as a 1 ski quiver? If that is what you want, then obSETHeds aren't for you, early rise=a little wierd in park. Plenty of fun, but for ice coast there is no need for the width or the early rise, if you want a ski medium stiff flex for all mountain check out prophet 100s, or kang fujas.

i thought the obsethed skied really well all over the mountian, they were stiff enough for me to carve quite hard on them, didnt seem to become unstable at high speed's alltho because of the slight rocker on the tip it did have some chatter on the groomers and hard pac. I was actually against the ski when I first was told about them but after i rode them I was actualy really impressed, its a great ski over all

my bro has the seth's.. incredible all mountain ski.. cept i would not recommend in the park..

and definitely dont mount them true center
