I'm moving to whislter for a year in June. mainly just for the winter season.

Just wondering if i can get any advice on what it's like

I've been in Europe all my life and i get people coming into the shop i work in telling me how amazing the snow is.

Is it really that much better?

well ive never been to europe to ski, but you'll find the snow around here somewhat heavy... but if you want to progress, whistler is deffintly the place to be. You'll meet a bunch of people who will teach your stuff and such. If you can get out to the backcountry your gunna love it

because I have a job offer and i really want to get out of europe for one year.

Why would the olympics effect? Fair enough its going to be busyier

but this doesnt effect freeride. Just go hiking awy from the crowds if its like here.

im living hear now and its fantastic. finding a place in June wont be that difficult and if you want a cheaper rent try to see if you can peace for the olympics, or try and sublet your place and make heck stacks.
