Whats up everyone this is my first post. I am looking for info on the rossi s5 jago twin tips. I have tried and loved the 08 scratch brigades but am looking to buy skis for my 5 week ski trip in february. any suggestions would be great! thanks!

How much do you weigh? i have the Rossi s5 from 08 and unless you are heavy or just hitting big ass jumps they arn't very fun... Way to stiff.

As far as I know the 06-07 Scratch BC WRS = the 07-08 Brigade = the 08-09 S5 = the 09-10 S5

I'm guessing it's a pretty well designed ski if the team likes it year after year and hasn't requested any changes. Should be pretty versatile at 98mm underfoot. Great for stomping large park jumps or hips, or BC booters, and even some pow, trees, and big mountain lines.

I have the 09 s5's, same ski. I really like them, super stable at high speeds, they plow through crud and float in pow. They are a little stiff for pure park but you can butter them if you throw your weight into them. They have pretty decent pop off jumps and the wrs reduces teh swing weight. I ski pretty agressively, am 5'11", 185 pounds and i ride the 185's. I would definitely recomend them if you liked your old rossi's

a lot of people said the 08 scratch brigades and the 09 s5 are the same just different top sheet. I felt a difference between them last year. Because I rented the 08 scratch brigade I am not sure where the bindings were set at either forward or back, but those skis felt like all the control was from the tails and thats what I liked. I weigh 175 lbs and dont do jumps and runs where if you miss one turn your dead! I love skiing and so far those 08 scratch brigades were the perfect fit for me, wish I would of bought them. According to rossi the 2010 s5 have early rise tip and tail and reverse edges. Feb 1st I will demo them in utah and possibly buy them. Hoping to ski 25 days so renting the whole time will cost the same as buying.

i would buy this years s3's last year (when the s3 wasnt as cool as it is now) the s5 was rossis best all mountain option. now that theyve changed the s3 to the new rockered design i think it will preform much better all mountain and is a higher quality product overall

thanks for the info guys, I will try the s3 and and s5 and decide from there. Any other ski suggestions would be great!
