09/09 Lib Tech NAS POW

I've heard of a new Lib Tech with some rocker, but I'd like to see confirmation by photos/catalog specs.
 
oops my bad on the thread title, obviously it should be 08/09. but yeah to ^, ive heard theyre supposed to be rockerd as well...cant wait to see them.
 
Stiffest fucking skis ever. They've a long way to go and even to me, as a owner, the magnetraction seems... gimmicky. They do hold an edge real well, but that may be because I'm used to Madens.
 
uh, sounds like you're saying that they do exactly what they're supposed to do, how is that gimmicky?
 
if i wanted a lib tech pow ski i would buy two banana hamocks, those things are sick, but yeah lib tech skis are way to stiff to be fun, but thats my opinion

That's great. I never said that I didn't. I have heard from several sources that Lib Tech does have a very sick reverse camber ski out for next year. I am just saying his post would have done more good with pictures.
 
Haha ok, I didn't mean to put you down or anything. Just explaining your hype would have paid off more with pictures. And if you're not going to share information/pictures, I will find out eventually.

Pow skis do not need magnetraction. It is a gimmick. How is a goofy wobbly edge going to help you in deep snow. The idea seems like it would work on hardpack as a park ski, but not on a pow ski.
 
Yeah but it can't hurt the skis either. What about when you're done riding the powder and need to ride the hard pack to get back to the lift.
 
If u go to a ski store with the NAS skis those skis seem real durable they r as thick as hell but are realllly stiff if u feel the flex
 
are you saying every pow day at yur local hill you get fresh lines the whole day and theres not wind scoured spot, i would be stoked to know that if i'm maching out of a shoot and hit some crust my fat boards are gonna hold an edge
 
Its the same thing as the awesome banana technology they use in their boards. the 07-08 skate banana was the best selling snowboard in utah this past season, the new ones are getting out now and people are getting on them pronto. im gunning for the 08-09 NAS Pow recurves myself. Based on the quality and response from their boards im hoping the skis are as good.

Im not gonna lie i was a little turned off when the elitist rep said "ohhhh, broooo, these arent skis, theyre just really narrow snowboardssssss" but in this case the proof is in the pudding based on my observations
 
lets take all of our money for skiing, and put it into a company that puts it into skateboarding and snowboarding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I call it a gimmick because I believe if you gave me a ski of the same dimension and flex I doubt I'd feel any improved edge. I think its the stiffness more than anything that has people raving about these skis.
 
see thats what i thought but they're ... skis. i mean, lib calls them snowboards whatever, and snowboarding is cooler and all of that, and lib is like super hilarious in a hip, totally not-too-trendy-quite-yet way, but.... they are actually skis. i mean, come on. lib calls the core material "morning wood."
