i am buying new skis this year. I am looking for the best park ski. I also need to know which is more durable thanks.

well, the trouble makeer LOOKS cool this year, and is pretty durable, ok in park, but it doesnt have much of a tail, so skiing on anything more that groomed would be a pain.

STL-no clue

TM's this year should be more durable then last years according to one of their rep's, especially for rails. No idea how they compare to STL's though.

Got my hands om some old TM's (the dark green ones with the black face on it) and also skied some PE's at the park, mind you I'm not much of a park skier, and would prefer the TM's if that might help.

i have th old stl the very first ones i think there 04/05 there really nice in the park soft but not at all allmountain but thats the very first old ones im sure theve improved alot and i heard they are alot stiffer now

basic charicteristics

Troublemaker:

Fairly Stiff, Kills it in the park, Very Durable.

decent for all mountain with the exception of performance in powder.

STL:

Very Soft this year, Not an all mountain ski. Specificly park, Durablity has been an issue in recent years but now that 4frnt has a new comapny producing there skis. (elan) They should have that problem worked out.

ok, thanks a lot i didnt know the trouble makers where that stiff.. I also hear a lot of talk about the ar6, how do the two compare in the park? and weight? The stl is one of the lightest skis on the market correct? i really like that a lot.

thanks a lot for the help guys

I don't think they're that stiff... but definitely enough backbone to ski well all-mountain.

STL is way more durable than trble. STL can go anywhere on the mtn but also a great park ski and won't float in pow like other all mtn skis.

Go STL super durable

haha.... ok this is kinda wierd i have two pairs of skis one the stl's and two the ar6 i find the stl to be a really good nice soft park ski whale the ar6 to be a allmountain and solid park ski stiff but all mountain but also very fun in the park and can ride the crud even a litlle powder but i wouldnt buy them for powder but they are the best one quiver ski ive ever owned.
