08 Rossi Ghetto FS vs 08 Line chronic

i just spent the last hour searchbaring skis then price checking, i think i narrowed it down to these 2

i want to know which one is stiffer and more durable i was unable to find a direct comparison on NS

im 5'10'' 180lbs,ski 70% park, and i currently have 171 anthems, which are aight and all but a little too soft

for anything but park at my weight, in my opinion. I dont want a super stiff ski ( the only ski i am judging

stiffness by are 4frnt msp's). Basically i want a park ski with a flex in the middle of the road

between the 4frnts and my anthems, i found both for about the same price, so thats not a factor either.

also i dont have the cash for anything from 09, so any sugg. of other brands skis gotta be under $300

I haven't skied the chronic but I hear good things. I think these skis are pretty similar. I can definetly say the Rossi's are super sick skis. They are really lightweight and poppy and not too soft. For a park ski they are a great all mt. ski too.
 
ok cool thanks for the info, and yea i know they are pretty similar, im just tryin to find one reason that makes the other better

i looked on backcountry.com and a few people gave the rossi's a bad review sayin the edges ripped out but that reflected the opposite when i searchbarred on NS no one said a thing only praise. so i think im guna go wit the rossi's unless some one out there had that same prob wit them
 
i have the rossi ghettos and i love them but make sure u mount them at addicted because of how the flex is proprtioned. The edges have been fine for me so far so good the top sheet has a couple of peels but no big deal and theyve been standing up to rochs pretty well (early season riding). But ive also heard decent things about the chronics and thay have a pretty dope design
 
Rossi ghetto hands down..... Amazing ski ...... its not that stiff..... but definatly stiffer then the anthems...

The line chronics are everywhere on the mountain............. personally id go rossi..... just a amazing ski!!!!!!
 
i would go with the chronics. they are stiffer but so much fun to play with. crazy amounts of pop.
 
dont get rossi they are faggots they dont support their athlete they fired the whole team dont support a brand that support racing.

plus line skis are awesome
 
all this 'support the little guy' .. 'support the friendly company' stuff is mostly bullshit in my opinion. all companies are in the business as just that, businesses. Rossignol was started by skiers just like Line but much longer ago. That said, I would go for the chronic because I think line's fatty base/edge is sick. Durable as anything.
 
i have skied both. i have chronics and they are money. mounted center 181 the sickest ski i have ever had. so sick on boxes and rails, better than my invaders, sick on jumps, easy to get corked, rips all mountian. i demoed the ghettos a couple times, they were mounted far back so taht coudl be the reason i didnt like them as much, still a sick ski, never got a chance to hit any jumps or rails/boxes. go with the better price, they are pretty much equal skis.
