sorry to let you down. i scored this deal; they are not for sale.

i went to a private sale this past weekend. telemark sale with a friend. i don't tele, but i came because i needed a ride up to the local mountain.

turns out this guy running the sale was a karhu rep. apparently, karhu and line are sister companies, both owned by k2. one dude, i heard, is mainly responsible for designing all of the line skis as well as all (or most of) of the karhu skis. karhu markets tele. line markets alpine. so anywho, i picked up some of next year's jack team edition 100's, which is identicle to the prophet 100; the only difference, i hear, is that they MAY be a little softer. still relatively stiff for how big they are.

i paid 200 bucks, brand new, for 08 skis. yay for good deals!

anywho, i know not many people on here have skied them, but can you tell me about the prophet 100's? they're becoming my all mountain/park ski on pow days and when the snow is real cruddy.

size 179

135-100-124

by the way; softer flex on the tips; pretty stiff mid-section; slightly stiffer in the tails than the tips. built like a park ski, and weighs close to what my scratches did when they were un-mounted. rediculously light for how big they are.

thanks for the help buddy.

and for the record, that toe has almost no nail on it; i dropped a solid metal welding table on it back in december. it's not doing so hot.

accatually line used to make all of karhu's skis the agents are all chronics, personally i think that alot of times karhu had a cooler graphic, the orignal Agent that is a water color sketch is so sick and it was out the year of the black chronics

but yea nice score man

the 100's are sick. such an awesome all mountain ski. i don't know if i'd want to ride them for park, but they'd probably be alright.

different flex. tele skis require a different flex. or thats how they manufacture them. not a huge difference, and actually, i cant notice. alot of times the flex is different because tele bindings are consistantly mounted so far back, that the whole flex of the ski changes due to where your feet are pressuring the tails/tips etc.

Same mold, different flex, as said above. The front tip flex on those karhus will be much softer than regular profit 100s.

Hope youre light enough to not notice too much.

uh, it was a private sale that a karhu rep held. that pair i got was the only 08 skis there. there were 06/07 100's there, too, but they were demoed and had tele bindings mounted previously. they were 3 dollars less.

i think they'll probly be sick for park... i fairly convinced they're softer than the prophet 100's, cause the flex is very close to that of my scratch fs. i talked to a kid where i ski who's a rep for line, and he said the only difference was that the titanium whatchamacallit was non-existent in the karhus, making them softer and lighter.

and as for different flex from that of the prophet, i can't be sure, but i'm just presuming... there are mounting points for "alpine touring", which is 3inches back from dead center, and there are mounting points wayyy high.... looks like the size of your tele boot... the farthest one forwards is 3 inches forwards of dead center. just measured it... soo i don't know what to say about where these should be mounted according to how you want to tele them. that's not my worry though. just has high mounting points.

score! it doesn't really matter if the flex is a bit soft when you only paid twohundy

is it just me or do some teles come with predrilled binding mounts?
