08 Line chronics

If you own a pair how did you mount the bindings, and do you like the mount? Any gripes about the chronics?

I found that the tails seem to wash out. And they have some serious bounce.

Mine are centered, I like them in the park, but if I was using them more else where I would probably mount them back a bit more. I don't think I've ever washed out on them, but I'm also used to softer skis like anthems so they seem stiff in comparison. I guess I could see someone who normally skied race skis or maybe heads thinking they were a little soft?

well i came off a pair of shit K2 Omni 3.5's and these had a wicked edge on the back and they would catch me and throw me, mabey im just used to those. But i did a off set mount,like 5/8 of an inch on da backs, and i like it

I'm loving the chronics, they feel so solid to me (because they're stiff). I have em centered too and I've been shredding them in the park and on groomers, so fun to cruise on. I skiied a ton of pow on them yesterday and it was soo fun because I just sunk, so many face shots

i dont think they changed a ton from last year but, i love my 06/07 ones. super bouncy in a good way and solid for jumping, and, powder is pretty fun with them. and i am riding them center.

yea i was going to buy the 07 but i found the 08 for damn near same price, did they even change anything over the year?

08' are a tad softer

they changed a lot on the ski and ride very different

The 08s ride smoother then the old cap ones but are not as popy. As for a mounting point I put them at -2cm back from center even if all Im doing is park.

the 08 is a totaly different ski. its 111-85-108 where the 07 was 110-80-103. this years has sidewalls and last years was capped.

ive heard that this years chronics are a completely different ski from any other chronic. but in the best way

mine are mounted back. not sure how much kuz i got them a few years ago b4 i knew anything about skis.

im getting new ones next year. only thing im worried about the mounting is the chronics aren't a true twin tip (according the their website) and i think they're a directional ski and not meant to be mounted center (according to something i read). any1 know if this is bullshit or if it matters or what?
