ok so i posted this in ski equipment too, but does any1 know if the 07/08 invaders are gonna have a delam problem??? thanks, and if u know how much theyre gonna cost too thatd be nice

i highly douubt it. after their first year, i think that if they didnt fix the problem, then they would have already gotten rid of the entire ski.

they look like throwup and carrots, why would you want them? haha, but, i must admit, they are a very nice ski. they butter real well, real fun to ride.

their different i think well they better be coz line is sendin me a pair coz my last years delammed and the edges fell out

That shit happens when you beat your skis up and slash the topsheets with the edges, get over it, any ski will do that.

Long live LINE.

My 06's delamed by the end of last season. So far on my 07's, no problems after this whole season. I remember my 06's by mid way through the season, you could tell they were about to peel apart on the tips. My 07's don't show any sign of that at all so far.

my 'vaders held up real well this year, i only have a few chips here and there from being careless and shit. obviously line is improving their skis as much as possible, meaning there shouldnt be a very big problem regaurding delamination.

We haven't warrantied a single Line Invader this year, where last year we sent back about 75% of them. I'd say with K2 factory quality they've got things pretty dialed now.

Fucking hell, Line needs to get their shit together on this. It pisses me off, because I'd love to buy their skis, but all the stories of everything delamming always makes me shy away. Put fuckin rivets in or something!!

they are triple wrapped in a carbon fiber/teflon composite.

tip to tail.

i heard a rumor that they are making an edgeless version for urban missions.

an even more unliekly rumor is that they are making a rockered version.

mine delamed after 2.5 months. It onlyhappened to one ski though and it was not that bad and could easily be covered by tape. hopefully with the warranty i get next years skiizies

youre a fucking idiot. how would we know if theyre going to delam if they arent even released to the public yet...cockstain

no k2 is not making their skis. they just own Line, therefore they give line support as long as line gives them a certain amount of their profit.

true, both the line and k2 factory are in china...makes sense to lump them together, right? less dough to pay.

Line isn't going to use k2's molds, and will probably stick with the sandwich construction. line COULD use the rivets but they won't because, again, they are two different companies. K2 owns volkl but volkl skis don't have rivets.

i rode my 06/07 invaders really hard with some pretty hard buttering and they held up fine, the only problem i had was the edges chipped the plastic topsheet pretty easily but that was only cosmetic so i didnt care, everything else was fine. i thought it was a great ski. they def improved from last years so next years should be even better. im predicting they pretty much got the invader for next year in tip top shape, but thats just a guess. So i really digged this years, i was surprised to hear people trashing on this years cause i was more than happy with mine and i rode them for about 45 days this season. hope that helps

all u people that give shit about invader delam because of the first generation invaders a damn idiots...the first gen is a COMPLETELY differnt ski, dimesions and everything...and line is super legit..just got my 08 invaders sooo sick

seriously i dont get whats with everyone complaining about the 06/07 invaders delamming. I rode mine pretty hard and the topsheet is absolutely fine. My ar6's that i had for about 2 months chipped much easier but it still wasn't that bothered.

The only problem i had with the invaders was the base, but that's cause i ride dryslope and rails alot. And dryslope just fucks up the bases on any skis.

I had a pair of 05-06 Invaders that delamed after 5 days of use. Line replaced them with the 06-07 model which has held up much better - just a few edge cuts on the topsheet. Nothing bad considering the abuse I put them through. I am definitely going to buy a pair of 07-08s before next season.

screw u all u people that diss line...they are a super legit skis and company...buy some and try them assholes..

RIDE LINE-

i've talked with all the stores, and they all said they never got any back, except bacons.

The ski isn't meant to be ridden hard and last for more than 1 season or so, but you can get it so cheap, it doesn't really matter. Line didn't make it bulletproof, or it would be more than $300. The delam issue is fixed though. Same with the edges, so it's probably okay.

Plus, they go through all the K2 tests, so they have to pass a certain durability now.
