'08 Atomic Urban Punx Twin Tip Skis

ive been on them since last january. theyre quite a specific ski but basically theyre mad soft, super playful, pretty durable. if youre not a huge guy then you shouldnt have issues with them being too soft. super super sick skis.
 
i think i might get a pair of these. i am 180 lbs and about 5'11. they will be used 80% in park they will see some mountain riding but not much because i have some karmas set up for free riding. Do you think I am to big (heavy) for them? and what is the core made out of? All i could find was a website that said they had a kinetic core... is that some kind of hybrid wood/foam core?
 
i weigh the same as you and had regular triplets wich are stiffer than the urbans and thought they were too soft
 
i'm not worried to much about stiffness in a park ski, i prefer a softer ride i was just wondering more about the durability of the ski...
 
dont worry about it man, they are really good skis and hold it pretty well compared to alot of other park ski. get them without a doubt. youll be happy
 
I just picked up a pair today, they feel soft and springy I think they will be a blast, if anyone wants more info on them I will be riding them all weekend so I will have a good idea how they ride come Monday
 
i broke them the first day i rode them... i cam e up a little short on a jump and now one of them has a mad rocker. they were sick skis before that though. i will probably end up with another pair through the warranty though

they skied so sick to. i think i might end up with a second pair because of how the warranty works. hopefully i just got a faulty ski
 
mine broke after a week... weird crack next to the bindings, but now im getting the 09 model from warrenty...so not complaining to much:P they were indeed sick skis when they were still working.
 
i think if your ski broke you got a faulty one..i have been on my atomic urban punx since november and they rip!!! the best ski i have ridden hands down. super soft/flexy but still can rip anywhere. they arent very choppy..although the topsheet does chip very easily and my edge around the tail is starting to pull out (which is wierd because i dont even have any edge cracks). the skis kills it..

i ride the 175 and im around 6'0 and 180lbs..i know i was supposed to be sent the 184 but the rep got me the wrong size..cant complain for how much i got them for though!
