I'm looking for a ski that can shred the whole mountain but rips in the park... I am 13 years young and around 115 pounds. I am really tempted by the ar6's graphic but the el rey's is nice too.
All answers are appreciated, and i will include pics and descriptions of each ski
thanks in advance

is their really THAT much of a difference between the two???
i usually do around 50/50 park/all mountain so will the ar6 be good for everything else, and is the el rey good in the park too???

i would highly recommend against next years ar6's they are very buttery and brake easy on landings, during this years demo day at park city all four pairs they had were broken

why did armada price the el reys cheaper than the ar6???
are the el reys buttery (i want a little buttery but not too much)

are there any other skis i should consider for 50/50 park/all mountain??? i want something that will really perform well in both aspects of skiing...

dude your an idiot. they are a price point ski, different construction = lower price. but to the thread creator both would be excellent choices, the el ray is a bit wider but 5 mm probably isnt going to make a huge difference for pow floatage. suspects would probably also be a good option. if you want something a little wider the kung fujas might be a good option as well. that 95 underfoot i believe and fairly buttery. theres alot of options out there.

can the el reys perform well in the park (im not doing CRAZY tricks) jus like 3s 5s rails and boxs
I know that the ar6 will be good in the park but will they be good in pow too?

My AR6s ski great anywhere on the mountain. Unless money is an issue I would reccomend AR6 over the el Rey.

I hear the Ar6 is symmetrical next year, so I would get them and mount them at dead center. The el rey is a way cheaper made version of essenially the same ski so if you want a ski that is gonna take a bigger beating I would go ar6.

any ski can perform in the park. it doesnt make THAT much of a difference unless your on something like hellbents. el rays will be fine but ar6s will probably last longer because they arent a price point ski. i would go ar6 personally

which k2 skis can i compare to these two??? i hear that the Kung Fujas are nice...
are there any other skis i should consider for next year (08/09)???

the kung fujas is gonna be a little wider too. noone really knows about quality yet cuz.... yeah its an 09 ski. mebbe PEs but they are really stiff or fujis which are the opposite end of the spectrum. volkl walls mebbe? i have never ridden them but if they are like alot of volkls they are probably pretty stiff. whatever the rossi ghetto became this year the s-something or other. would be a good option. 4frnt stls? mebbe msps but again idk how stiff they are
