some kids in the gear section said siver is going out of business following this season. is this true?
 
Nope, at least i dont think so, in the SIA Siver audio interview, mike nick was talking about the outerwear and how it has progressed, and will "continue to improve and progress year after year"
 
dude ha, it really is happening. im not even joking. whoever said that is right. %100. they have already dropped all of thier athletes, ask mister matt walker himself. oh and why do you think duncan adams is gonna be riding for spyder this next year? besides the fact that they are sick.
 
oakley bought them. i know this for a fact. every1s gonna say no they didnt, but it doesnt matter to me, u can believe me or not. fact is, oakley bought them so, sorry to break the news, siver is a sick company. i dunno wen its gonna be fully announced, but oakley deff bought siver cartel.

they are indeed going out of business after this season, due to orage being a large competition i believe, but both suck, , everyone should get saga outerwear

 
im sure in a interview they wouldnt be like "yea were going out of business, yea boy"

of course there gonna say continue to improve year after year, even if they knew they were gonna go out of business
 
SIA was during january of last season. they probly didnt even know. and if they did they wouldnt tell anyone cause that would ruin the whole young gun thing.

But if Oakley or some other company bought it siver will still be able to go further in what they're doing so why is it than that they put away their athletes...??

one of my brothers friends knows the owner of siver, and he heard it specifically from him, i dunno if thats a good enough source for some of you, but it is for me. i know the owner is a member on ns, but have no idea what his name on here is tho.
 
Orage isn't their competition you goon.... Coalision owns both of these companies or something like that.
 
yes they do. Siver is done, i promise. it is a sad sad day in the ski community when the one core brand that made it becomes dissolved because they are competition....
 
Siver Cartel is owned by a company called Coalision, who also ownes Orage. After this spring Coalision decided to sell Siver. As of the last I have heard there is no buyer. Mike Nick has been offered a good job with Orage, and I don't blame him for taking it. He has a family to look after. So... most likely Siver will be going out of business after this season. I do know that some Siver stuff will be in stores this season, because my store has already gotten a small shipment. Some of the things from this years line will be available, but much of it will never be made.

coalision is selling the siver name. its true. supposedly too much competition for orage.
 
if they are that really sucks but since all of you people COULD be little computer nerds that dont have a clue whats going on and just like sounding like you know everything im not gonna think it is or isnt:)
 
its a fucking publicity stunt they leak false info into threads and so kids are like "oh no, sivers going out of buisness, i gotta buy their shit so they have enough money to stay around" that is my theory.
 
Siver is going under after this season!!! Shops are already dropping them. Talk to anyonwone who deals w/ them! and yes it sucks, but orage is the same damn shit! Orage put siver out from the start!
