what is that ?? (white line)

Binding mounting point???

is that a Core center? (recommend center?)

from True center to that line....-->> -3.1cm (from the true center)
 
i'm trying to figure this out too? just bot a pair of the 07/08 dumonts, and plan on mounting them "true center" If i take a tape measure and lay it on the tip of the ski, it doesnt seem like it'll be super accurate since the tape measure doesnt really bend because it's metal. Any advice on finding true center? and lastly what are these "DARK LINES" you speak of? sorry to be so picky, i need all the help i can get!
 
i heard like last yaer he actually mounts them 1 cm ahead of true center to make switch better and better tail grabs... maybe thats why he destroys those cork tails in the pipe with no effort...

I'm not asking where simon mounts his bindings, nor did anyone in this thread ask that...trying to determine the best way to find true center, and what the white line is?
 
well i was trying to say that the line is NOT "simons" line...

im willing to bet that that lines is the tru center

easy way to tell is measur fron line to ground and flip the ski over and measer again it should be the same
 
just in case anyone still cares, i finally spoke to someone at Salomon, and they said that "true center" would be 2cm in front of "reccomended" i measured it about 10 different ways, and that's EXACTLY true center!
