07/08 Line Skis

YESS!!! the anthem graphics shall rule alll, soo glad you guys decided to go with that!and the symmetry is a good touch

Whos's got more info on the EP Pro, I heard it has rocker, and if that's true it's going to be a hard choice between them and the Hellbent for next year.

i don't know if anyone has pointed out the fact that the chronic now has a sidewall construction.

Pretty sick.

Also, the EP's are so incredibly soft... like you can one hand flex them... super super floppy. Such a dope ski.

not gonna trust anything as of line just got bought by k2. they could either be complete shit, or wonderful. probably i'll demo some.

EP Pro has what Line is calling "earl rise" which basically means rockered. i dont know how soft the helbents are supposed to be but i believe the ep's are going to be like the bacons as far as flex.

they got bought by k2 LAST YEAR, so nothing in the construction process will be different from this year's ski which were made in the k2 factory.

Softer than the SFB? Cause hand flexing the SFB in the shop they weren't noodle soft, but after breaking in a bit who knows. I hear the Hellbent is mad soft, like as soft or softer than the Pontoon.

Sorry main but your logic is all wrong. Yes K2 bought Line last summer but skis are generally manufactured in the spring so that they are ready to be shipped the following September. So this years' Lines were still manufactured in the same place they have been for the last ten years or whatever.

I'm hardly even pressing on them...

first and foremost...i'm almost positive the 06/07 line from Line was produced out of the K2 factory...

another thing...with the certain skis now having sidewalls...is that going to make them stiffer than this years models?? also, do the invaders/anthems have sidewalls now?!

Not really sure to be honest. But I would imagine the expanding use of sidewalls on their line up and being joined with K2, the chronic is a first step towards sidewall construction on all their park and all-mtn skis. But don't quote me on that.. b/c its just a uninformed prediction.

Everything about this statement is wrong: Line used to produce in Canada. Then production moved to China where the 05/06 line was made. Then K2 bought them and the 06/07 line was produced in China, in the K2 facility. So, the 06/07 line was not made in "the same place they have been for the last ten years or so," but they were made in the 3rd factory in as many years.

I bet it's the MATRIX. The topsheet on the Blend and the Prophet is not flat. If you've handled them, you know that the carbon and metal matrices are smaller than the dimensions of the ski, and that causes a raised section on the top of the ski with an irregular shape. A cap makes sense for these models because it will press the topsheets over the whole shape of the ski and aroudn the sides. The way sidewalls are built, it would be really hard to have a bubbled out topsheet. Someone check if the new Prophets are caps too, if so, that proves my theory.

^prophets are still capped. However the 130 doesn't have the matrix..unless there is a typo in the catalogue. It also picks up early rise and early taper. Another contruction change to note is the anthem and invaders now come w/ a carbon ollie band.

Oh, and also the blend comes in a 186... and the kids skis now have a poplar macroblock cores.

yeah, the hellbents are stiffer...they feel a lot more like a ski that you would actually ski a pow line in...the EPs are soo jibby, I imagine they are super fun, but I wouldn't really take them in any really gnarly terrain.

to clafiry: the hellbents are pretty soft, they are just stiffer than the EPs.

I don't buy it. There is no way K2 could have bought Line in July and still managed to have their skis is stores by September, granted some of them didn't even make it to store till December. But the logistics of that just aren't possible. Acquiring then setting up the production lines to produce thousands of their skis isn't exactly an overnight process. There is no way that this years Lines were produced by K2, why would they be. It would be a hell of a lot easier to just do one more year where they were currently being made.

Not to start a hate on line bandwagon, but i really, really, really hope that theyre nice and durable next year cuz even this year, some of the invaders delammed kinda quick. I want those anthems sooo bad but i hope theyve stepped up their game, quality wise.

I promise they were made at K2s factory this year. Just because it was announced they were bought in July, doesn't mean it wasn't being planned sooner than that.

I don't give a shit if you "buy it" or not, this is official info from the Line skis website. Also, NONE of this year's skis were available in September. The very first ones shipped in late November and continued to ship until after new years.

thats sick!

The only "problem" with the 06/07 invaders were that people said the topsheet chips like crazy. Did they improve the topsheet durability for the 08 vaders?

anyone else notice the 08 prophet series and the 08 MSP series graphics looks pretty dang simular?

why because they both have A mountain on them?

i fail to see the similarity. one looks good and the other looks like shit. and by shit i mean the msp.

I tell you: The Ep PRo is the softest ski i´ve ever seen! It is pretty much like the poonton(Flex). I don´t really know if i should buy them next year, but i think they are so much fun in deep pow!"!!!

awesome skis. thanks for posting. i really dig the ep's and the new lizzies. i think im gonna get a pair. are the demensions on the lizzies the same as this year?
