'06 Rossi Scratch bindings vs. Rossi Axial bindings

What's the difference between these two bindings? Is the Scratch tuned differently for park riding? I don't get it. I need bindings for a new pair of Volkl Karma 185s, but I can't tell which binding would be better suited to the ski. It's a twin tip ski, so maybe the Scratch would be better, but it's not really a park ski, so then maybe the Axial would be better? The most info I could find was here:

EXACT same binding other than the colors get wichever is cheaper or whatever looks better on your skis if they are the same price!

with gas prices so expensive and mexicans so cheap i think i am going to start riding a mexican to work!

if the 06 look p10s are the same as those there like 160

I'm guessing that the Axial is lifted and the Scratch isn't? I think I'd probably go with the Scratch then, cuz I don't really want a lifter binding for a pair of Vokl Karmas.

you don't have to put lifters on them do you?

'kevin whyed nils pull you out?' 'Cuz i was touchin bitches.' 'No seriously why did he put scott in for you.' 'Scott doesn't touch bitches.'

axial's are sick i have them, but i think scratches are pretty much the same as well, go for whichever u think is better, and u don't have to lift the axial's...mine aren't

HaHa...Got Snow??

Oh, so the lifter on the Axial is removable? Weird, so the only difference between the two bindings is colors and that the Axial comes with a lifter and the Scratch doesn't. And they're the same price. Doesn't seem to make a lotta sense to make two almost identical bindings with different names. Oh well.

^I have the axials and they came with NO lifter. and yes they are the EXACT same binding apart from the wide brake. get the cheapest or whatever colors go with ur skis if there the same price.

QUESTION!!! since there doesn't seem like to much certaintity in this thread, i'm gonna ask a question. If i get the Scratch binding, am i gonna blow my knees? Do the scratch bindings have the pivot heel? i thought only the axials do..... thats why they are more expensive.

http://www.proctorjones.com/pjonline/dept.asp?s%5Fid=0&dept%5Fid=11450

They are both on that Page...... and the axials are more expensive, and yet they both have the same din, and wide breaks. help.

^I'm not sure, but I'm sure Look/Rossi, has some new technology that protects you against breaking your knees.

^ ok. i'm pretty sure that they got rid of the pivogy heel or whatever. and i'm sure they replaced it with something just as good. but it seems odd that the axial is like 30 dollars more or whatever.

i have axials and they have the heel relese thing, they also have removable lifters and are great i think the difference is the graffics and the namesake, which doesn't explain why the scratch's are cheaper, but look at the looks they are made in the same factory and are cheaper
